Have your friend look in the Yellow Pages phonebook for a Lawnmower Repair and Parts store. Most carburetors can be rebuilt. A repair kit will cost less than a new carburetor. If you can't find what you're looking for let me know. Maybe I can find it here in Kentucky.

I have a cub cadet weed trimmer. When i give it gas it will stall and quit

The carburator is plugged.
1st check your gas can and make sure the gas is not contaminated... no rust no dirt etc as it doesn't take much to plug those little carbs.
Go to a home center store and purchase a can of small carburator spray cleaner
Remove and disassemble the carb and soak the parts in CLEAN gas for about 15 minutes agitating every 5 minutes or so.
Using the spray nozzle blow out all the ports and then reassemble the carb.

2 other alternatives
1) Take it for service ( they'll probably replace the carb)
2) replace the carb yourself
You didn't include a model so I cannot provde part numbers

Husquvarna gas trimmer model 25r need a carburator kit which we cannot find

I am thinking that this is your model and model year (25R 1986-2010 Line Trimmer). Here it is.
Keep record of the carburetor kit part number in case you find it elsewhere for maybe a lower price.

If this is NOT your trimmer, you can look around on this site till you find it. There are many Huskys listed and a few of them bearing the model number you have given. I hope this helps.

Primer button on homelite gas trimmer

It's possibly the filter, can't help there. I would check for a split line or loose connection between the tank and bulb and even splits in the bulb itself.

My weed eater wont start.

One of the problem could be is you have one of the line in this case top line in the carburator clog. For clean the carburator You need to remove first the cover for the filter 2 screws on front of the carburator remove lines mark the lines top and bottom remove slowly the carburator be careful with the gasket. The carburator have 4 little screws removed and remove the black gasket (diaphragm) clean with carburator cleaner and air, blow air thru the top line tube, now on the otherside remove the screw and clean the gasket and the carburator inside do the same step. Make sure you clean the fuel filter inside the tank with carburator cleaner.

Adjusting the carburator on a craftsman 25cc line trimmer

Replace all of the lines before any adjustments, too small to see air leaks are a common cause the issue you have.

Best Poulan Engine Match (probably real manufacturer):
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/BC2400-Gas-Trimmer-Type-6/75.BC2400-Gas-Trimmer-Type-6.1.59.1.html

My decisions are being driven by my experience with Poulan chainsaws. Small hose in tank (long enough to reach all corners), filter on bottom, connects to lowest connection on carburetor. Small hose on upper carburetor connection to small fitting on primer. Large hose from large connection on primer through largest tank hole, roughly mid tank long. nothing on bottom. I suggest you leave the 2 connections on the carburetor long enough they can be swapped (just in case) then try it. if no go swap them.

Typical fuel system and a suggestion or two:

This is how I would configure it if a chainsaw, doubtful they would do something completely different. In defense of Jerry, he knows how it should be done, clarity of instruction could use some help. Good Luck. HTH

I have a model # RY39500 ryobi hedge trimmer 2 cycle engine. Starts fine and idles however when i try to run it it dies. Whats wrong with it?

Sounds like the air screws need adjusted on the carburator. If there are 2 the one with the L above needs to be turned althe way to the right but not to tight and then backed out 1/2 turn to left. The one with the H anove it do the same except back it out 1 and 1/4 turns to left. If it only has 1 screw dot he same but back out 2 complete turns. Hope this helps?
