There are two settings for volume. The first is via the speaker icon on the front menu. The second is via the tool icon, then through an icon on the maintenance screen. (At the moment I don't have my 650 working:) Try the language (lips) icon, look for Volume under that. If not, try the other tool icons. The point is, this second Volume controls the maximum volume your Nuvi will deliver. In other words, even if you are at 100% via your first icon, it can be made louder unless the second icon is also at 100%.
For me, the best solution was to set the second setting to the max, and then fine tune what I wanted trip-by-trip through the first icon.

I think the only solution for you my friend will be too invest in a headset of some kind which should plug into your unit which will help you to hear better.

Monitors not audible with Behringer 1680S

Assuming you're trying to power the monitors from this unit as well as the mains.....Confirm that the amp switch is in the middle position which splits the internal amps....one for main and one for monitors. Output A would power the monitors.... B would power the mains.

The handset lights up and the incoming number is shown but you dont hear it ringing

Many times there is a volume switch on the actual handset itself. Most commonly on the left side of vtech devices. there are three different volume levels. By pressing up on the button you should be able to turn the volume up until it has an audible tone confirming volume change. Handset should ring with incoming call when audible tone is heard by pressing up on volume button.

Phillips HTS3410D audio

You seem pretty anxious to perform surgery. Have you done traige yet?

It could be something as simple as a malfunction on a heaphone jack connection.

DO headphones work? Try using FM as the most basic source.

How do we know the internal audio is present and sufficiently loud to drive the speakers? If you have a tape deck or a TV with audio in connections, run an RCA jack to it and see if there's something there to listen to. No signal = no speakie = something other than the power amps failing = not those caps you read about.

BTW: don't use Maximum volume while troubleshooting. If you finally do touch the one thing causing the problem you'll probably launch the speaker cones right out of their enclosures and have to start all over again with blown speakers.

I recently had my car broken into and someone tried to steal my system. Thankfully my fiance heard and went out in time and they drove away. They had disconnected some of my wires and we tried to put them...

wire from battery(normally red) to 12v+, really skinny wire(normally blue) to remote, black or silver wire from ground to grnd. No you dont need the converter as long as you have your rca from asftermarket cd player to your amp(preferred way). You might have also bridged your amp with your speaker wires which would cause your system to run on a different ohm which would cause the bass to get louder then overheat you amp which would turn it off.

Ring

On most Uniden phones, just press the Volume up key to turn the ringer back on or turn the volume up, the more times you press the button the louder it will get. Conversely, pressing the down volume button will lower the ringer volume, and on some models eventually turn it off.
