Hi,

I think this is problem of Virus called torjan, Just run you antivirus & scan whole PC. Clean temporary internet files & other unwanted files from PC. Delete your Previous Chat & other History related with Yahoo Messenger. Then uninstall yahoo messenger. Don't forget to clean your PC.

Then Go to yahoo.com & Download latest updated version of yahoo messenger & install it on your PC. & Now i hope your problem will fixed 100% guarantied.

Hi Stephen!

When your Xbox 360 signs you into Xbox Live, it automatically attempts to sign you into Live Messenger, as they use the same communications systems since Microsoft bought MSN.

To resolve this error message popping up every time you sign in:
  1. Sign into Xbox Live,
  2. In the Xbox Dashboard, scroll over to your Gamer profile,
  3. Find the "Auto Sign-In" tab,
  4. Under "Windows Live Messenger", check "Disable".

Once you create a yahoo mail ID automatically your sign on yahoo messenger.

Your setting on the msn is set to go sign out for 5 seconds. there should be a tool bar and a peference tab.

Messenger signs out automatically help
might be blocked by firewall or software. im not sure what protection you have installed but a program like norton suite will cause issues if permissions are not set to allow program to run. also if you select not to allow it to run by mistake common problem it will cause isues as well.

Make sure you cancel your web.yahoo messenger inside you mail, its on the left hand side of your screen, each time you sign into your email, it automatically sign you into messenger too, but you can eave it that way if you prefer working on yahoo mail and yahoo messenger all in the same page, but if not, you can cancel it there..

I can't see the offline messeges in windows live messenger 8.5
Try to install the newets version of Messenger:
http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger

Make sure offline messenging is enabled:
Sign in > Menu > Tools > Options > Messages > make sure "show my offline messages automatically when I sign in" is checked.
