Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera
This happends when the auto focus or the flash bulb or capcitor is desfucntional I would check this into a shop to see witch it is you might want to take the battery fully out then put it back in but I think there is more of a issue here then that.

This mesage indicates that the power on self test has failed. This is most often caused by the lens mechanism being frozen or jambed. Under normal operation, the lens assembly should fully extend and then retract. If this fails, the message you see will be presented. While the message can be issued for other non-mechanical reasons, the lens problem is the most common.
