I just bought a GE WEBCAM and for some reason its super blury like the pic needs to be way more sharp! its dark and horrible. i tried messing with the settings however acomplished nothing. please help!

A webcam is first and foremost a camera that
uses a lens to gather light reflected by an object. There are a number of
reasons why the image captured by the webcam can be blurry, all of which can be

The webcam does not need to be disassembled in
any way in order to obtain a sharp and clear image.
Launch the webcam's video program by selecting it from the "Start,"
and the "All Applications" menu.
Aim the webcam towards you so that you can see

Your webcam should have come with software that allows you to control aspects of your equipment. In the webcam settings, check your settings on contrast and such, you can adjust the sharpness of the picture, this may not be set correctly!
If you mean you tried the sharpness setting in the driver it will not help if the image is out of focus.
On many webcams there is a focus ring around the lens, try turning that
to get a focus setting that gives a sharp image at the distance you
use. If the product pic shown with your question represents your cam,
it looks like it has such a focus ring.
The little white ring on around the lense, that is the focus on the camera. Now the other issue with picture quality is the camera itself. I believe this camera only 1.3 mega pixels to get a less blurry higher quality pic u should use a higher mega pixel camera
On the front of the webcam there may be a part by the lens that twists around. This can be used to adjust the display the webcam gives out and can make it very blurry. I would recomend using this to adjust the view to how you want it.
