so working on super old 2007 PC monitors. and no PC connected."? it is NOT ANY LED BACK LAMP monitor here.
came new with XP PC's.
the monitos all good to sleep mode if no PC vidoeo connected.
in the usa, even by law, (energy star)
how ever lacking a PC, the screen will show "no signal entering sleep mode"
VGA monitor.
LED = blue on, amber sleep, LED out, oFF.
NO 1080P mode allowed, (so common now) <<<< big clue here.
set the PC to 1024 x 768 (to test ) 60Hz.
using a flash light (torch) tool,.
turn on Monitor, see blue LED
point flash light to screen, see data, now, on sceen in the beam
now you now CCFL backlamps are dead. as most are this old.

How do I get Amazon Fire TV resolution set so I get more than a blue screen?

Select the input channel for your Fire TV - Turn on your TV and select the input channel for the HDMI port you used to connect your Fire TV. You should then see a loading screen with the Amazon Fire TV logo 4.

My Dell vostro A860 Laptop shuts off after 5 seconds that I have turned it on, the blue light showing that is has turned. The screen is black, I don't even get the boot up screen. What will I do. thanks

Enter to bios after powering and watch if it still go off. If not, go to Healt or sensors section and watch the temperature of CPU and system. The computer might turn off because of overheating.

The l226wtq goes black

Try shining a flashlight on the screen, or without the flashlight, try to see if you can distinguish anything on the screen at all, if you do, the backlight is dead, or the monitor has an internal most likely unfixable problem.

Laptop

Hi, according to what I understand his equipment it operates well, only that the screen appears in black, does not show anything on the screen, though the equipment operates well, it is possible that the fault this one in the FL Inverter, that is the inverter of current of the screen, which gives the take-off of the lamp of back light, the same one is in the low part of the screen behind of wave mask of the screen

Westinghouse LCM22W2 shows a display then turns off after half a second

I have the same problem and have traced it down to a potential power supply issue.  I bought mine at Best Buy in '06 and was told today that they will test the power supply for free.  It may range from $50.00 to $100.00 depending on where you can get it.  This does not include labor for those not qualified to work with electronics.  Hope this helps you.
