I would first check the connections to make sure the battery is connected. If it was working before it should be connected unless someone has removed it for maintenance, etc.

Other than that my next suggestion is more than likely either the battery is bad and not holding/accepting a charge, or the charging circuit in the UPS itself has faulted and is not sending charge voltage to the battery.

Hi Datta,

It seems that you have the wrong battery in that UPS. The replacement battery for that unit should be an RBC2 -or- a 12v 7.5ah battery ($28 delivered). The UPS will not work without the correct battery in place.

If you could provide me with the exact model number I may be able assist you further.

I ball ups 600va does not on when deep discharge how can we on the ups

Kumar,

Sounds like you need a bigger UPS. When the UPS transfers to battery the battery will only so long before completely being depleted... usually before that time utility will come back and the battery(s) will charge up again. Use this tool to help you determine the appropriate UPS:

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM BECAUSE, MY UPS IS NOT GIVING BACKUP POWER SUPPY, AND CONTINIOUSLY BIPPING WHEN POWER GOES OFF ?

The battery in the unit may need to be replaced. Usually it is a 12Volt 7Ah high discharge, Sealed Lead Acid Battery.

They life span is around 2-5 Years.

Take care!

We have a new 60 inch LED Sharp TV. Will an APC #BN600R battery backup, 600 VA 360 watts, handle a power outage or surge for this TV and a Dish network DVR??

Hello,
Yes this UPS will protect the TV and the DVR.
The TV is pretty energy efficient, and uses just under 100watts powered on. The DVR uses under 30 watts, so under heavy load you won't go over 150 watts if just these two devices are plugged into the battery backup side of the UPS. I'm not sure how long this UPS battery last's in a power outage, but since you are not using it to the full 360 watts, you should get double time out of it, though of course, its best to power off your devices as soon as you can. Regards, Chris

It sounds like the battery in your UPS has aged to the point of failure. The life span of these batteries can typically range from 1 to 3 or 4 years. You should be able to remove the battery and write down the make and model. If possible, have the UPS vendor check out the unit for you. Check to see if your UPS is still under warranty. The cheapest source for replacement batteries is your local electronic surplus store, if there is one in your area. There may be other vendors who sell used UPS's. Otherwise, do an internet search for either the UPS manufacturer, or for the battery manufacturer to check on replacement battery cost. Be prepared for the battery replacement cost to be perhaps half the cost of a new UPS unit. Also, know that the problem may be with the UPS itself. Sometimes, UPS units go on sale for prices that approach the cost of repair, or battery replacement.
Either way, I think using a functional UPS is a very smart bit of prevention to do.
Please let me know how you make out.

When UPS is shut down the lights go out on front pannel but power remains on plugs. It is coming from the AC side not the battery.

The UPS has a fauly/problem.
If your UPS is approx. 600VA, then it is not a true UPS unit but a switch over type. When the mains power fails the UPS switches over to the battery and inverter in milli-secs to provide mains power.
If you turn off the mains supply and shut down your UPS, but you are still getting mains power, then there is a fault with the switch over circuit.
You need to get this unit serviced.

UPS Turns ON and OFF by Itself.

You may need to change the battery within the battery backup. The normal lifetime of a battery is roughly 3 years.
