When i try to tranfer my pics from my camera to my pc a window opens and tells me "THERE IS NO SUPPORTED DEVICE CONNECTED" I know I have the camera plugged in so what could be the problem. Appreciate any advice.

I have the exact same problem with my new Olympus Stylus 840. I have tried to connect it to the front as well as back of my computer but it says it can't recognize my camera.

I had the same problem with my new Olympus FE330 camera. It turned out that the cable wasn't pushed in completely into the camera! It was in far enough for the camera to detect that I'd plugged the cable into the computer so it brought up the "One Moment" message but not far in enough to do anything else.

I work as a Olympus DTS Agent. It sounds like your cable is bad or your Port on your camera is bad. One tip that I can recommend other then calling us at tech Support 1-888-553-4448 is be sure you are always plugging camera in through a usb port on the back of the computer.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Hi there.
Yes you can put a few pictures on the SD card, you can transfer pictures back and forward while the camera is connected to the PC or you can transfer them via a card reader.

Thanks for choosing FixYa!!

Dont know how to get pics out internal memory

Actually, you can do it without the cable.
You need to have the card inside your camera with at least ONE picture. Hit play. Press menu. Scroll down until you see COPY and then choose "Internal to SD Card" Hit All Frames. Hit OK. Done.
Cheers,

Pictures will not transfer off the camera

Here's a silly suggestion for you... is the "lock" engaged on your memory card? It will be a small sliding lock portion on the SD card. If yes, unlock it and try again.

Won't take pictures

Perhaps if you transfer all your old pics to your pc and then format the card, I think that would solve your problem.
Let me know if you have any joy. Thanks
