The Washing is an NEC NW452, not an LG.

  • judyandstuar May 03, 2010

My washing machine is an NEC NW452 top loader, but I keep getting replies about a front loader LG?
Can you help me with my NEC?

Replacing the hall sensor AND turning the tub clockwise 4x and counter-clockwise 4x did it for our LG WM2032 (2004 model)---BEFORE I plugged it back in. I also had to rubber mallet the stator motor cover back on.

Unplug it for about 20 minutes, rotated the drum three four times, and empty the water chamber from the tubes behind the bottom door. That should fix you up.

If the above Fix doesn't work, it may be a hall Effect Sensor, in the above link, it shows you how and what to do. Good luck.

Above a useful reference link, many have same problem.

The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.

Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error, but it is possible to separate the working from the non-working, just by following a process. T

The Hall sensor failure is ver common. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!

Solve LE error by replacing Hall Sensor. Buy part #5016501KW2002A at Sears parts store.

Iinstructions on how to replace:
1 Open rear panel. Take 17mm nut off (it's the only one)
2 Pull off what looks like a goofy hubcap (it's held by magnets)
3 Unscrew the six 10mm bolts and gently lower the coils
4 Remove and replace the Hall Sensor (plastic comb looking thing)5 Plug in the sensor and re-install the coils and cover.
30 minutes for me.
Test spin cycle if desired by following chart on page 19 of service manual at http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/content/pdfs/125448.pdf
(note lower models skip step 10 (heaterIt fills but does not - 2_bing.gif test).
Hall Sensor Part labelled as K351 in diagram on page 41 of service manual.

Just moved front load beaumark washer into a new house, and it won't fill with water. the display lights up and you can here washer trying to fill (humming noice). All display lights come on and it...

It sounds like your water inlet valve is either not getting a signal to let water in from your control board or the water inlet valve is defective. Since you are hearing a humming noise, I would say that the water inlet valve is defective or has been damaged in transit.

LE code flashing on WM1812CW

LE code is overload on motor. This unit actually has a magneto and stator. This is what needs to be replaced. Usually find a magnet cracked.

I get error code le on LG dishwasher.

hi,
le means locked motor disassemble the filter and work your way down to the macerator(steel chopper blade) remove it and see if the side labeled "this side up" is really up, its in english... dont think the chinese labourers paid attention to the warning cause i have seen alot that were wrong way

if it was installed correctly order the complete motor/sump assembly btw you do know LG d/w came with a 2 year warranty right? and some of the water distribution system had a longer limited warranty
read your manual, it states warranty, then price the part, then call warranty depot to ask them their service call and labour to install motor/sump

This part taken from a LG repair manual:
(Display Condition LE = Motor Error

Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:

Wiring connection is OK?
The Impeller of Washing Pump is
locked.
The rotor of Washing Motor is
locked.
The Blade is locked.

Remedy:

Check the wiring connection.
Replace the cause of restriction.
Replace the Washing Motor.
Replace the PCB.)
good luck.........

LE light on...not filling with water.

ACCORDING TO SERVICE MANUAL, THE "L.E." ERROR CODE SUGGESTS A LOCKED ROTOR ON THE WASH MOTOR. CHECK THE WASH IMPELLER FOR A FOREIGN OBJECT. IF IT SPINS FREELY, CHECK THE WIRING TO THE WASH MOTOR FOR LOOSE CONNECTION.
THE L.G.HAS HAD A HISTORY OF MOTOR PROBLEMS.

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CANCEL THE PROGRAM AND DRAIN OUT THE WATER.
