My Wii spontaneously stopped responding to most of the nunchuck commands. It will respond to , <+> and <->, but the onscreen arrow will not appear. When this occurred, the game that was being played paused and the Wii console would not respond so I unplugged it. After letting it cool down (it was no hotter than usual), I plugged it back in and now have the problem above. I tried new nunchucks, replacing batteries, etc. all to no avail.

Have you tried replacing the sensor bar? Or moving it to a new spot? Make sure it's plugged in all the way and the wire looks good (no bare spots).

SOURCE: nunchuck wii problem

Most likely not a fault with either. Try not touching the nunchuk while the game is powering up, as moving the joystick while the game is powering up can cause these issues. If the problem is still happening, click the Wii Home button and open the Wii Remote Settings at the bottom of the screen. Choose the option to reconnect the remote, and then try again. If this doesn't work, ai am not really sure what is the issue. You may need to send to NOA for a checkup.

Return the product and use the Nintendo wired nunchuck. The nintendo wired product is only 19.99 and the cord is not that bad of a deal.

SOURCE: Nunchuck is not working even though connected to wii remote

The sensor may be gone.  The best way to test this is really easy and pretty cool to do.  Take two candles light them and then place them a little further apart than the wii sensor is.  If you are able to use the remotes then the sensor bar needs to be replaced and if ther is still nothing I would try replacing the controller because the infered led's may have gone out.  If that still does not work then the sensor decriptor in the wii has gone out.  Nintendo should be able to help you with that part.  But I do not think that it is the Wii.  I feel that your sensor bar is bad.

SOURCE: How can you use the nunchuck to play zelda tp?

Just plug the nunchuck into the back of your Wii-mote. The system should automatically detect it and let you use it.

Hello, Yes, there is a manual, it can be downloaded at www.cyberbike-thegame.com click on the support section. It is likely that you have a defective handlebar if the Gamecube controller is not an option. If it is the case, we will send you free of charge a replacement. Best way to proceed is to send us an e-mail at [email protected]

New to the wii. I just put in the Avatar game and it locks up saying I need a nunchuk (P1 nunchuk is required). I've replaced the batteries to my nunchuk and restarted? help?

Hi there, the nunchuck is actually a separate controller that is needed. It is plugged into the end of the standard Wii remote with a cable. The nunchuck does not require batteries so I am guessing you are getting confused between the nunchuck and the Wiimote. Please look at this photo to see what I mean about a nunchuck.

You should have been supplied one with your Wii, if not, they are available very cheaply off of places like ebay.

Hope this helps

When I go to pick a song it speeds past them really fast and doesn't pause on each song so I can choose one. It's like a roulette wheel.

Make sure nothing is on the arrows on the DDR pad. Also make sure you're not holding the arrows on the Wii remote or the control stick on the Nunchuck.

If nothing is being held down on the DDR pad, Wii remote, and Nunchuck, and this problem still occurs, there might be something wrong with something.

When it gets to the screen to choose the mode, the choices fly by way too fast to choose. This happens with other windows that require a choice.

Make sure nothing is on the DDR Controller arrows. Also make sure you haven't moved the control stick on the Nunchuck when starting the game. If you accidently move the control stick on the Nunchuck, press and hold A, B, +, and - buttons on the Wii remote simultaneously for 3 seconds.
If nothing is on the arrows, and you haven't moved the Nunchuck control stick and this problem still occurs, something might not be working properly.
