Question about Garden

1 Answer

My John Deere LA115 will start and run, sounds fine with clutch in. Will not move forward or reverse. Without clutch in, makes a very strange sound, almost like mower blades are engaging. Noise stops as soon as clutch is pushed in. Mower blades are NOT engaged and deck is up as high as it can go. Do you know what this problem might be and how much it might be to fix?

SOURCE: problem with John Deere L120 tractor

Park brake switch is the most likely culprit, any other would cause the tractor to not turn over in the crank position.

I purchased a K46 transmission to put in my John Deere LA115. Once installed it worked but pressing revese makes it go forward at slow speed and pressing forward it goes quick at varied speeds.

Try removing the lever on the shaft and turning it 180 degrees, or connecting above or below the pivot point.. This should reverse the operation of the linkage. It will be pushing the opposite way then.

Where can i find a John Deere la115 wiring harness diagram?

The John Deere site has the wiring harness diagram on the LA115 parts diagram in the Electrical section (section 40, page 19). Start here: https://www.deere.com/en_US/parts/parts.page and select the Parts Catalog. http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.HomePageServlet_Alt is where I ended up. The carburetor is in section 30 (Fuel and Air), page 10.

I hope this helps.

My john Deere 100 series .... Gear stuck in reverse.... And will not start because it is stuck in reverse!

sit on the mower and push the clutch in
start moving the mower by rocking it forward and backward while trying to put it in neutral, don't worry about your neighbors thinking their is something wrong with you while you are doing this.

John deere stx46 won't move in forward or reverse

There is a handle on the rear of mower make sure it is not in the free wheel position. If so push it in and it should move. If not seek out an authorized dealer to test your tranny. Also check that your belt didn\'t break

How to fix Stuck in reverse Clutch is Fine.?

Have you tried checking the linkage to the hydrostat/transmission? Are you getting full movement of the lever? If not, it might have just come loose and shifted so you only have reverse. If you have full movement of the lever and the hydrostat has the proper amount of fluid it could be fried. It's hard to tell without diagnosing the linkage. I'd suggest blocking the rear wheels off the ground so you don't run over yourself before you go messing with the linkage.

John deere x340 wont move

there is a release usually behind the seat that has to be pulled in order to push it physically. make sure that the release is pushed in for the forward/reverse to work.
