There is a clear liquid product that comes in a gallon can available where RV supplies are sold. Clean your roof well and apply the product according to package instructions, to all seams ... look for holes that may have been punched in by falling limbs.

If you are just going to use caulk all the joints, don't use silicone, no matter what. Don't listen to anybody that says to use it. They have some great stuff at the paint store, Of course I forgot what it was, but you might check with them. If not, get a polyurethane caulk, It is the best, and not as expensive as silicone, but works 100 times better. Clean the joint with lacquer thinner, Get a good caulking gun, not the $1.99 special, a good one, or you will be throwing that in the trash and going back to the store for another one. Use a plastic putty knife or a piece of plastic as a spatula to push it into the joints, don't just squeeze it out and expect it to stay, it needs to be pushed into position, comes in colors too. Have lacquer thinner standing by to clean your hands or use Nitride gloves, the blue ones. Hope this helps.

There are so many sealants around now but stay with the best which is made by 3M. Any RV dealership sells some type of sealer. I even seen people use roofing fiber sealant which is fine although it last two to three years

I have hot water in all valves in rv but NO cold water

There is most likely a valve between each hot and cold water hookup that have been left open for winterization. You have to close the valves between the hot and cold water lines.

Hot water valve leaking how do I take part no.

You will need to turn off the water heater first. Shut off cold water inlet valve to tank. Open the drain at bottom with hose attached to suitable drainage area, hot water will damage plants and grass so if you want to use the water let unit cool off for a few hours or drain down past the valve level. You can open the release on the temp/pressure vale and it will help vent and allow you to know the level. Take a small pipe wrench or large channel lock pliers and remove the drain line pipe connected to the valve body. Open a faucet that is the longest run and wait. The valve can be found at most home centers and are basically all the same with the BTU and pressure rating on the label. Take with you to match length and ratings. Apply Teflon tape or pipe dope on threads to help seal the fitting and tighten up till unit is secure and the opening points down for overflow pipe installation, reseal and tighten. Close off drain and refill with faucet and valve release open, when water starts to run out of valve close and continue filling until all air is bled out. Then relight water heater or turn on power. Check for leaks and test valve for operation. The TP valve should be tested annually for safety.

You would need to buy a propane hot water heater. Unfortunately you can not convert an electric hot water hearter to propane.

I didn't want to use either an electric or gas hot water heater so I invested in a solar hot water heater for my home. Best thing that I ever did as far as saving money. Once it is paid off then the benefits are lower utility bills.

Good luck,

Marty

Rheem hot water heater problem

If by the hot water over flow valve you are refering to the T&P valve. It is activated by high temp. or high pressure. It is possible that when you flushed the lines it caused this to open. It is also common for these once open to get a little debris in them and cause them to continue to leak. Sometimes you can open and close them a few times and get them to reseal. Other times you have to replace them. Hope this helps.

Drain pipe leaking on outside of home from hot water heater,? cause

You have a safety valve which is made to relieve pressure in the hot water heater in case it overheats. It may have developed a leak. Sometime you can lift up the valve and close it again a few times and it will reseal otherwise replace it. It's on the top of the heater with a small lever. Usually made of brass.

Yes, That will do it. Most RV appliance parts can be purchase at RV dealerships that have parts department. Camping world has always been very helpful. As far as A part # is concerned I can't confirm although it is good to have it and the make and model of the unit. Good Luck
