Won't print all of the letter on top of page

The top line of my letterhead is in 15 point type. My printer won't print all of each letter. The very top looks like it has been erased.

I tried to rate the answer but it wouldn't let me. Anyway Mike, your solution did not work. The same thing happended on the first line no matter where that line was on the paper. But still your answer made me realize what the problem was. I needed to adjust the line height on my word processing program. Thank you.

Hi afoot, that sounds like you need to adjust your printer by moving or adding more margian between the letterhead & the edge of the paper.

Best of luck to you!

SOMEBODY CAN WE HELP US? WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH DUPLEX LEXMARK X644.

If you mean that you are getting a ghost image of the letterhead on the page this is caused by not setting the paper type to letter head which caused the temperature to be wrong and print does not bond. Or you may have a bad fuser or bad toner cartridge. Try setting the paper type to letterhead or bond first to see if that helps.

How to make default tray 2 in HP Laserjet p3005n printer

HP printers will default to the highest numbered tray that contains plain letter paper. So on a standard 3005 Tray 2 is the default unless you have the paper type set for something other than plain letter. If you have an additional tray, then Tray 3 would become the default tray if it is set to plain paper. In this case, you would set tray 3 to either bond or letterhead so that the printer would only grab from that tray if you request either tray 3 be used or create a job that calls for that type of paper.

If this does not sort it out, post back again with a complete description of the printer including number of trays, what is loaded in the trays and how they are set for both paper size and paper type. This information can be found by printing a configuration page. This is done by pressing the arrow key on the control panel until display reads information, press checkmark (green button) then use down arrow until Configuration page is displayed and then press checkmark again. Page will print that shows all the settings for the printer.

Cannot print on regular letter size paper on my HP Officejet 6500A Plus printer. Gives me an error message saying Paper Size Mismatch, but it is the right paper for the print job.

I had same problem. Try this: When you go to print, change your ink quality to "draft". For some reason, I was able to print after trying everything. Hope this works for you!

How to set printing to tray #2? HP Laser Jet printer won?t stay printing on tray 2- They do a lot of printing from this printer in the wire room and for some reason it will not stay printing on tray 2-...

Thanks for the inquiry.
Print a configuration page from the menu to determine what Tray 2 is set to.Pull Tray 2 and make sure the rear paper stop is set to Letterhead. Make sure it snaps into place and is not broken or loose. If it's broken you may have to replace the tray.
On your computer got to the printer driver icon and right click for properties. Make sure tray 2 is set to 8 1/2 x 11. Tray 2 should now be the default tray unless tray 1 (Manual Feed Tray) is open and then it will pull from it first.
Let us know how this works. We need to eliminate these setup issues 1st and more steps can be taken if necessary.
Thanks for contacting FixYa.

Duplicate images through page?

on all printjobs? sounds like bad toner cartridge

if the print out has rough or parts that can smudge real easy then it is the fuser

more likely the toner - cleaning blade not clearing old job before going onto the next part of the print job

Hp 4250 GHOSTING

Are you telling the machine that paper type is letter head or envelopes, It must be done, it changes temp of fuser to suit the paper type, no it is not a power supply problem change paper type to card stock/thick/letterhead etc to suit then machine will adjust temp to suit.. ie file, print properties paper type.

50.2 fuser error replace fuser.
