Maytag cse9000ade cooktop. Does anyone have

Maytag cse9000ade cooktop. Does anyone have wiring instructions for this? I had to disconnect, when i went back to reconnect, from the cooktop there is two black (which abviously go to black), one red (which goes to red), one white) which goes to white, a ground, and a yellow wire!! Is this to be connected to the neutral or to the red? I have it to the neutral and the right side burners do not heat up fully...? running off of 110v?
Thanks Greg

Hi Greg. Welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. I have been looking into this for several hours now. Even service manual(s). The only thing I can find is the yellow wire goes from the infinite switch to the right side elements. I don't see a blow on your model so the wiring diagram should be on the bottom of the pan cover. The bad news is I can not tell if it is actually on the bottom or inside the bottom. From everything I can see it appears that the yellow wire would be attached to L1 vs where you currently have it connected i.e neutral. I can not come up with the wiring diagram that is part of your cooktop but all of the other Electric Maytag and Jenn-Aire models show the same thing. Yellow wire from the infinite switch and L1. Take a look at your wiring diagram if you can find it and see if you come up with the same conclusion.

This became one of those solve the mystery questions for me and I literally have been looking at it for about 3 hours now. trying to get something I can safely pass to you that will not damage your unit.

With the yellow wire on neutral currently it would be operating on 110V and have low heat. Placing the yellow wire on L1 (Left) should get 208V to the right side burners. Again.. take a look at the schematic / wiring diagram that is attached to your unit.

This is the best I can do from here. The users manuals I have found for your cooktop are in several languages. ENGLISH is not one of them :(

One of the high heat sensors has failed on one of the burners under the glass. Disconnect one sensor at a time to find out which one, then replace that burner assembly.

I have a Jenn-Air CCE3401 Electric Cooktop I want to remove. How do I disconnect the wires from the cooktop? In other words, how do you get inside the cooktop to disconnect the wires? Disconnecting...

Firstly turn the power off. Lift the cooktop out from the benchtop and lean it against the wall. There will be a small panel where the wiring terminates into the cooktop. Remove the panel and disconnect the wiring to the cooktop. Ensure that you insulate all wires properly. You can then turn the power back on if you need to.

How do you wire the cooktop to the main power source. There are bare wires coming out of the cooktop..red black white and ground.

Hi,
The wire coming in should have the same colors, just match up the wire colors and wire nut them together with large wire nuts ad them tape them. ground the green wire to the ground screw.
That's all there is to it!

Gas Range Error Code F1-7.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F 1-7 in your Maytag indicates keypad disconnected. To start with check the wiring between the keypad and Electronic Range control (ERC), if still the issue is not resolved then you’ll have to replace the keypad. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

(2) front Burner igniters on my new Matag 30" Cooktop continue to click

Sounds like water got into one of the switches. This usually happens when you wash the knobs. Water stays in the holes and runs down the shaft when replaced. Maytag has issued a recall on some stoves because this can be a fire hazard. UNPLUG THE COOKTOP UNTIL THIS IS FIXED!!!!!!!!! This has happened to me with a whirlpool unit and it tripped a breaker and shot sparks across the kitchen. First go to Maytags web site and see if yours has a recall. If so Maytag will fix it free. While you are waiting leave stove unplugged and light with a match. If you need to fix this yourself disconnect the wires from the two switches this should stop the sparking. Connect one switch at a time and see which switch is bad. Most of the time the electric part of the gas valve can be replaced seperately. and you can do this yourself. If you must actually disconnect a gas pipe unless you really know what you are doing call for service.
