Do you have an ice maker feature. If so check the water line to the back of the refrigerator. It may be leaking.

Water leaks on floor, where isthe defrost drain pan? the manual indicates that water might build up in drain pan, the connections with the ice maker are all dry.

The drain pan is usually located closest to the floor - behind the kick space or toe space grill at the bottom of the fridge. Most often the water that collects in it is evaporated by the heat generated by the compressor and airflow from condenser fan located close to the pan.

Make sure the water is coming from the defrost drain hose - not from water sources elsewhere in the fridge (leaking water / melting ice into the fresh food compartment, etc.). If found, take action to correct.

Good luck!

Freezer portion appears to be leaking inside refrigerator, lots of water, whirlpool model ET8CHMXKT0 2

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curtain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you have any other question. It may have auto-defrost or frost-free feature that is not operating. Also there is a drain tube that goes from the compartments to the bottom of the fridge where the evaporator pan is. The tube may be plugged.

I have a GE TBX25PAXCRWW top mount freezer model. It is leaking water from the light switch. I would assume it is a blocked evap line. Do I access it from the insde of the freezer or outside.

Your problem is a clogged defrost drain . This is accessed from inside the freezer section and by removeing the rear freezer panel . Use a hairdryer to defrost the pan , under the coils . Also , the drain line for your model , is located behind the refrig . So , you only have a short area between the drain hole and drain line , to clear . I would suggest blowing thru the drain hose behind the refrig also , to make sure it is clear .

"jennycub" sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine. very common problem( easy to detect. water on the floor of freezer compartment) as far as the other posting by" humblerumble", ive seen where the drain tube under the refig has pushed a hole into the drain pan under the refrig, in which case it will only leak after a defrost cycle, with the kickplate removed grab a flashlight and look under the unit for the drain pan as you pur water into the back of the freezer sect to trace water flow

Fridge is leaking water all over the place.

The defrost drain opening or drain hose is plugged up with ice or crud. If the drip pan is bone dry, it's a sure sign that the drain opening or drain hose is clogged. Trace the drain hose back to see where it pick up the condensate in the refrigerator cabinet. Remove whatever pieces you need to to clean that sucker out. Door gaskets are torn or not making good contact with the cabinet. No? Well then where's all that water coming from, Einstein? It can only come from the humidity in the outside air--your fridge can't make water, dontcha know
