Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

I have a samsung S8003. Once a widget is displayed on the opening screen I cannot get rid of it. Subsequently there are so many widgets on there that no screen is visble. The manual says to shake the phone to get rid of them but that some phones do not come with this option, I shake it but nothing happens. Perhaps my ph does not have that option, so what do I do, they're really annoying. Any ideas?

Try to tap and drag the widget to the side pull out menu(when it is open). It should remove the widget from the home screen. Hope this helps!

How to remove widget left by an app

When you remove an Android widget from your home screen, you don't uninstall it from your phone and it still uses some memory. To uninstall Android widgets from your Android phone or tablet, do as follows:
1. Open "Settings" and go to "Application Manager" (On some devices, Apps)
2. Go to "All" tabs and tap the Widget to uninstall
3. Hit "Uninstall" and confirm the process
Note that, since some Android widgets do not show up in the App Drawer, you can not uninstall them from there, and you have to do as mentioned.

HOW CAN I REMOVE WIDGET FROM MY SAMSUNG GT C6712 ON SCREEN

I think the Widget in the Home screen is in-built.
Just click the widgets button, you can see the bottom, available widgets appears... just drag and Drop widgets to keep in screen and remove from screen.

I still can't get some of the widgets to reabsorb into the side bar. I can move them but they stay sticking out of the corner, partially visible. It really annoys me. Especially the one that says...

dear friend,
open the side column & quickly push them inside, they will go otherwise in the column there is an option of "widgets" click there & unclick the options that are on your screen,if you want them then again click them to activate them

enjoy & cheers

Alarm icon is displayed in the center of the screen no matter what I do. All alarms are turned off. I've rebooted the phone several times including removing the battery. What else can I do?

I've had this same weird problem today but I think that I may have solved it.

1. Go to "Menu"
2. Go to "Settings"
3. Go to "Display and Light"
4. Go to "Widget". Among your widgets is one called "Analog Clock". Un-check it and Save the widget screen.
5. Go out of the Menu to the top screen (that has "dial", "contacts" and "menu" at the bottom.) Hopefully, the alarm icon is gone. However, the "Analog Clock" that displays the time in the widgets (opened by the small arrow on the left side of the screen) is also gone. Simply go back through steps 1-4 to get to the "Widgets" screen and check the "Analog Clock". Your Analog Clock should display and the Alarm icon should still be gone.

I know that this solution doesn't seem to make much sense because what does an Analog Clock have to do with an Alarm icon? It just seems to be a software glitch of Samsung.

Try it out and see if it works.

How do i take the little things off my screen

Hi, Basically to get rid of any reminiscent widgets (like if you were playing music and the widget still is in your desktop, just drag the widget you want to get rid off into the sidebar (the side bar will automatically expand when you drag the widget into it, and your widget will minimize and insert itself into the side bar). Now the widget is officially closed .
Enjoy :) Ed
