Question about Sceptre Computers & Internet
Most times monitors will go to sleep if there is no communications between it and pc. This can be related to a bad cable, video card drivers or video card it self. If this is connection between pc and monitor first thing to try is to to verify is it card it self because most people dont have extra VGA cables laying around. To verify is it card or just drivers try to boot in to safe mode and see does the monitor come out of sleep. to boot to safe mode just reboot your pc and while comming up tap the F8 key until advanced menu comes up and you can choose any of them but i would choose safe mode with networking since u might need internet access. If it does load picture it is just bad drivers which you can get off of manufacturers site. If it still does nothing it is card or cable and if you have another pc just replace cable otherwise you need to bring it to a pc repair shop or by a monitor cable and test it. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Be certain that you have DPMS (display power management system) disabled in Windows or in the BIOS.
Hope this helps.

Your computer monitor or laptop screen will enter sleep mode after your computer remains idle for a set period of time. You can disable sleep mode if you prefer the screen to remain illuminated. You merely need to change a setting in the Windows Power Management properties box.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions
Click "Start" and "Control Panel".
Click "System and Security" and "Power Options". This will bring up a new dialog box.
Click the menus to the right of "Turn off the Display" and set them both to "Never". This will disable sleep mode.
