Zorin 8.1 how do you check the md5sum instructions please

On the download screen it will probably tell you the md5 checksum. Download an md5sum program for Windows such as WinMD5 Free Windows MD5 Utility Freeware

Use this program to check the md5sum of the file you downloaded against what the number is on the website.

md5 is basically a string of numbers from 0-9 and letters a-f (hexadecimal). the number the winmd5 creates for the file should be exactly the same as what is on the website. If they are different either
1) the program on the download site is corrupt or compromised and you should not install it
2) There was an error downloading it and you should maybe try again
3) You have a virus or something else which has already corrupted your downloaded file.

Good luck.

Windows XP download

Windows XP Professional SP2
Step 2: Run the Setup disk program to create the Setup disks

When you download the Setup disks, the download contains only one large program file. When you run the downloaded file, it extracts the files. You receive the following message:

This program creates the Setup boot disks for Windows XP. To create these disks, you need to provide 6 blank, formatted, high-density disks.

Please specify the floppy drive to copy the images to:

Type the drive letter for the floppy disk drive (this is typically drive A). After you type the floppy disk drive letter, you receive the following message:

Insert one of these disks into drive drive letter:. This disk will become the Windows XP Setup Boot Disk.

Press any key when you are ready.

When you press a key, the downloaded file starts to extract and copy the files. Continue to insert the blank disks as you are prompted to do this until all six disks are created. If the process is interrupted, you must run the downloaded program file again to create all six disks.

Make sure that you label each disk appropriately with the number that is specified by the program. You must use the disks in the correct order during the Setup process.

Step 3: Start your computer by using the first Setup disk to begin a new Windows XP installation

After you create all six disks, insert the first disk in the floppy disk drive, and then restart the computer. The computer must be configured to start from the floppy disk drive. You may have to modify the BIOS settings on your computer to do this.

The Setup process starts. Insert the other floppy disks when you are prompted. You must use the Windows XP CD-ROM to finish the Setup process.

hope it helps

I have no idea how this file appeared onmy EXT HD, but I want it gone. I am running Windows XP Home Edition on my Laptop. When I try to delete the file from my EXT HD, the belwo error message...

I would recommend shutting down and restarting your computer to make sure that no instance of this file is up or running. You can also check the status of this file to see if it is in use by pressing ctl + alt + del. This should bring up your task manager, look through the processes and see if this file is being used, and if it is you can right click on the file and select "end Process", or "end process tree". If it does not appear here, or you still can not delete the file from this point, you can download a tool called Unlocker. This tool does what it's name specifies. Once downloaded you can delete the file, and if there is an issue deleting it, a window will pop up asking what you want to do, select delete and the file should be able to be accessed for deletion! Hope this helps

Missing mss32.dll, im using windows 7 ultimate

MSS32.dll is used quote commonly in various games. A fair number of games rely on Windows having this dll file already installed to an indexed folder such as c:\windows or c:\windows\system32. If you are missing this file you should try reinstalling the game first as there are multiple versions of it - my online research shows 3 distinct versions for games like GTA3/4, Zoo Tycoon, and Counter Strike. It also appears it might be used for some graphics programs.
If reinstalling the program that is giving you this error you might try downloading a common version of the DLL file from You should first try putting the file in the 2 folders mentioned above, then start putting it in the folder with the program that is claiming the file is missing (for instance: C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<account name>\counter-strike source\bin).
I hope this helps!

How do I get PDF converter 5.2 to save files as WOrd .doc not docx?

It should be an option when you click save.
I have no knowledge of this product, but you could open in word and save as a doc file.
If you have word 2003 or earlier, you can download a free file to enable word 2003 to open docx files.
Sorry i could not be more helpful
