Macromedia Projector can run on only "98/ME" mode. but QT (that is bundled with RHEM's DVD) cannot run 98/ME mode. So, after uninstall QT, you install Old Version QT (I tried version 4.1), you can play game.

My netbook is e-machines. whenever i push the open button, it shows the no cable connection alert on the screen and windows would not load normally. jsut a while ago, this was accompanied by a beep. what...

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On until you get the Safe Mode Option.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

1. Open the Start Menu.

A) Click on All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore.

2. Open the Control Panel (All Items View).

A) Click on the Recovery icon.
B) Click on the Open System Restore button.

A 'System Restore' window will appear. Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time'

A) Click on the Next button

Now you will find a window with Dates, Description and Type,

Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start. Click on the Finish button and windows will take a reboot.

Wont load windows...just a blue screen with the mouse icon. Alt-f10 doesnt work at the acer screen

Windows is probably getting stuck on start-up and this is likely due to a driver problem. The presence of a blue screen with the mouse pointer icon on it has a description called BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). BSOD was common in earlier Windows versions as they were not robust enough to withstand misbehaving applications. Current Windows better isolate applications so that BSOD does not occur but it can still happen during the start up process. My suggestion is that you should try running Safe Mode then do a System Restore to an earlier date when the system used to start properly. Strongly suggest that you have the system plugged into its AC adapter before doing this. The following is based on Windows XP (you didn't indicate what O.S. you had).
1. do a power-on and press F8 repeatedly to get the Windows Advanced Options Menu
2. use the up-down arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press the Enter key
3. on the Windows log-in screen, click your user name icon to log-on
4. on the Desktop window, click the No button to indicate a choice to use System Restore
5. on the Taskbar, click on the iconized System Restore to open the System Restore window
6. click the Next button to get the Select a Restore Point window with the monthly calendar
7. on the calendar, click a bold date then click the Next button
8. on the Confirm Restore Point Selection window, read and if it is OK click the Next button
9. during System Restore, the system will be shut down and restarted. Let this proceed normally.

I have just purchased ink cartridge 830 black for canon ip 1800 but the lights are blinking orange please tell me why this is happening

I received this response from canon.com. Hope it helps you.

If the paper feed rollers become dirty, they may not be able to properly
feed paper due to the feed roller's slippage. If paper does not feed
correctly, perform the following to clean the paper feed rollers:

1. Open the Printer properties.

For Windows Vista

a. Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen,
'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'.

Note: If you are in 'Classic' view, Click 'Printers' directly from the
'Control Panel'.

b. Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and
then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.

For Windows XP Home Edition

a. Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen,
'Control Panel,' 'Printers and Other Hardware,' and 'Printers and
Faxes.'

b. Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and
then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.

For Windows XP Professional Edition

a. Click 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and
'Printers and Faxes.'

b. Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and
then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.

For Windows 2000

a. Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen,
and 'Settings,' then 'Printers.'

b. Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and
then select 'Properties' from the menu that appears.

2. Click the 'Maintenance' tab and click 'Roller Cleaning'.

3. Remove all sheets of paper from the auto sheet feeder.

4. Confirm the following message, and click 'OK'.

Note: Clicking 'OK' will activate the paper feed rollers 30 times. This
activation will take about 90 seconds. Do not perform other operations
until this operation has finished.

5. Confirm the following message, and click 'OK'.

6. After the continuous paper feeding operations in step 5 have
finished, load three sheets of plain paper and click 'OK'.

7. Confirm the following message, and click 'OK'.

Note: The following message is displayed when the paper is fed and ejected.

8. Click 'OK'.

Roller Cleaning is completed.

If the issue continues to persist, try fanning the paper before
reseating in the automatic sheet feeder.

Follow these steps to fan the paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder(ASF):

1. Remove all documents from the ASF.

2. Check for any obstructions.

3. Fan out the sheets of paper so that they do not stick together.

4. Align the edges of the paper.

5. Insert the document stack, face up, into the ASF until you hear a
beep.

6. Adjust the document guides to the width of the document.

If fanning the paper does not help resolve the issue then the iP1800
printer will require service.
