Question about Weber Genesis Gold B Premium Grill

Gas Not Flowing

The propane tank went empty while the grill was on. I switched tanks and tried to light the grill. The grill will not light and determined that gas is not flowing. I followed directions in the manual, to open the 3 burners to high for 1 minute, then close them, open the propane valve and try to light. That solution did not work. Any thoughts?

Try this. Turn tank off, open all three burners for a minute or 2. Close burners. Open tank very slowly. Open primary burner, (usually the front burner) and try to relight. Should work, but if not check that valve is secured to tank and check for leaks with soapy water.

The gas from the tank is not flowing to the burners on my Charmglow grill

to solve this problem, turn the tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve on VERY, VERY SLOWLY (slow motion, slow). Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank and turn it to it's highest setting. Does the flame height now appear to be normal. If so, light the remaining burner(s) the same way. If everything has returned to normal, you've solved the problem. If it hasn't, then more thank likely your Propane Tank is empty or the regulator/hose assembly may need replacing. If so, you can purchase one at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories. Juts tank your old one with you for comparison purposes.

Burner igniters spark but do not ignite the burners. Do I need to replace them or is there some way to clean something. Also, the rotisserie burner will not ignite, and it has never been used.

All the ignitors work (spark), but none of the burners light ... is usually caused by and inadequate gas supply. Since you didn't didn't mention what the grill is fueled by (Natural Gas or Propane Gas), I going to assume it's Propane. So, turn the propane tank valve to OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank, Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank and turn the tank valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (slow motion, slow) , until it's fully open. Try lighting the burner farthest from the tank first. If it lights properly, turn the burner knob to the highest setting and continue to light the remaining main surface burner(s) the same way. If all lightt and the flame height is as it should be, you solved the problem. If it doesn't, either your tank is empty or the grill hose/regulator assembly needs to be replaced. You can purchase one from any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills. Take your old one with you for comparison.

If it's fueled by Natural Gas, make sure the gas line shutoff valve is turned ON all the way.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem.

Need to know how to reset the LP Gas flow for a Webber 300 BBQ

If you just installed a new, full tank of propane and turned it on and the burners wouldn't light.

Turn the tank off, disconnect from the grill hose (you'l hear a whooshing sound and smell gas, but that's alright). Wait several minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the gas valve on very very slowly, until it's full open. Now, try lighting your grill.

Remember, you will need to turn the tank valve on very very slowly every time you change tanks or turn the tank off after grilling.

What happened was this ... When you turned the tank on quickly it locked up the grill's gas regulator. Doing what suggested usually solves the problem. Oh, one other thing ... be sure your tank is not empty. The grill you have uses a lot of gas.

Genesis Silver B Grill: grill won't heat past 350 or so. put a new regulat...

An odd thing with many propane gas grills is how the regulator functions. If the tank is opened too fast the regulator over-adjusts and delivers no gas. Try this: Turn tank off and open all burner controls. This should clear the line of any gas. Close burner controls and open tank very slow. Now lite and temp should go up.

Genesis s310 stainless grill. Does not fully light.

Regulator is not bad, as I stated before new valves are designed to reduce gas flow if valve is opened to fast. This is so if grill catches on fire, the tank will shut itself off, thus propane will stop flowing causing fire to extinguish itself.

I had this problem when I turned on the burners before I turned on the tank, to fix it I had to turn everything off. Then turn the tank on and wait about a minute for pressure to build in the lines then turn on the burners. Hope this helps
