There is an open drain that runs horizontaly across the back inside of frig that leads to a vertical drain on the left hand side. This drains to drain pan underneath the frig and is accessable from the front panel on outside bottom of frig. See if there is water collecting in the horizontal drain. This happens if vertical drain is blocked up and causes the horizontal drain to overflow to the bottom of the frig. This caused in my case a rotting and mildewing of the maple wood on the side and front of frig. No mention of drain pan in manual. If you get this far you should remove, clean and replce drain pan.

Sounds like the door is not closing properly so humid air is coming into the fridge OR door not closing properly and the humid air is condensing around the door so it is leaking the condensation OR

The water from the defrost cycle is not evaporating so it overflows from the evaporator pan above the compressor. You better call a service technician before getting some floor damage (Do not call A&E)

Water build up

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are getting puddles of water in the back of one of the bottom shelf and in one of the vegetable drawers in your Frigidaire refrigerator. I suggest putting the crisper drawer control on the Hi humidity setting. This should allow more moisture to escape out of the drawer and not cause as much puddling. Also, check your water filter and make sure it is not leaking, as well as any moisture from the ice maker. If further troubleshooting is needed, I ask that you please leave the model number of your washer. Typically, you can find this number inside your refrigerator on the liner walls. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Ice maker not working

Hello,

There is a tub that goes through the back of the freezer wall into the ice maker. Sometimes this tube will freeze shut and needs to be thawed out.

The water fill tube will freeze shut from low water pressure. Ether from a bad water valve or low pressure to the refrigerator itself.

Pull the refrigerator out and remove the tube from the back wall to check it.

Also note that,

Sounds like the thermistor is bad in the ice maker itself, and there are 3 more micro switches, and some other things in there too, just easier too replace ice maker than parts for it.

If it turns out to be the ice maker, look on the tag in the ref. side, which list the model number and serial number. look @ bottom of that tag, it will give you a model number for the ice maker kit you need.

Good luck and hope this helpout......

Water =underneath= the refrigerator

Check you door gaskets for gaps or cracks that would allow air to get in the frig. Look for a bad water valve or ice maker head. If your ice maker is faulty it will instead of filling for 7 seconds it will fill the ice mold for 30 seconds. Put the arm up to stop ice production and wait awhile. Then lower the arm and observe the harvest cycle. The water valve should be energized for 7.5 seconds very near the end of harvest cycle. Just a GUESS
