If you have tried turning the wii and balance board off and then on again (sometimes board can get confused when initializing), you may need to contact Nintendo for repair/replacement. If the board is new, try bringing it back to the store.

We have synced wii fit board new batteries installed in both board and working before house move now keeps stating ease step off me and press a cant go any further keeps repeating itself please help

o the wii fit board itself one of the pressure plates is stuck.. This means that it had constant weight on it while you were moving, say for instance you may have put it to the button of a box and put stuff on it.

t you will need to open it up and free the bent contacts on the pressure pads or in between them. Chances are depends on how bad it is you will need to get a new one.

Motor is struggling to go when weight is applied (when I step on it)

hi it seem like the motor is fine but the belt on the motor either needs to be tightened or replaced. best way to find out is to take off the front cover showing the motor and step on the treadmill. if the belt isnt moving but the motor is spinning then you need to replace the belt on the motor. or you can try to adjust the belt. i had the same problem, i just tightened the belt and everything works fine.

Im having trouble with my balance board keeps repeating step off and press a.after a lot off turning the board over and over if it doesstart it wont give proper weight

the board is most likely defective, I have seen several boards with this problem. I believe it is related to the defect in the right rear foot sensor. try using the board check test to see if it will show the defect and replace the board.

Wii Balance Board thinks I'm on it all the time!

Make sure of a couple of things and try again -

If you are on semi-shag carpet, try using the little foot extenders. They may not seem like much but they can help.

If you are on moderate to thick carpet, you may need a board to set the Wii Fit Balance Board on.

If you are on a wood floor, you can (but don't have to) remove the little foot extenders.

Another little gremlin can be in those silicone covers. If you have one, I'll bet that's the culprit. As nice as they are to keep the board clean, they can actually attach to the non-moving part of the scale (the bottom) to the moving (surface) part. Be sure that your silicone cover is not interfering with the normal movement of the board.

Finally, be sure that you are always using YOUR setting while exercising or it will not be calibrated correctly. Also be sure that when you start, you are not on the board when it calibrates for the first time after turning it on. If the weight on the board differs by about 5 lbs or more than what it thinks you weigh, it will pitch a little wii fit.

I hope you find this advise helpful. If not, though, please don't label this advise as "inappropriate". A "Thanks for Trying" would be just fine.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Wii board not letting you step on

You will need a new Wii board unfortunately. The Wii board is not designed to be jumped on, nor an excessive amount of weight be placed on it, as it damages the springs inside the board.
If it is a new board, the chances are it is faulty. Take it back to the store you purchased it from and get it replaced.

I'm trying to go through the setup to WII fit. My child did the body test with no problems a couple of days ago. I keep getting an error (fidgeting) when I try to take the body test.

Please be a bit more detailed in the problem. The Wii Fit Balance Board is very sensitive to weight shifts. Ensure that you allow the board to calibrate properly. To do this, I would suggest the following steps:

1) Place balance board on a sturdy, flat, smooth surface. If you have average-shag carpet, be sure to use the little adapters that fit over the feet. If the carpet is too thick, then it will NOT work properly. You may want to consider a small piece of plywood or something similar to set between the carpet and Balance Board.

2) Don't step onto the board until it has calibrated (this is when the board establishes its zero point). It will clearly say "Starting Up" followed by "Ok, Step On." After this, you can generally stay on the board unless a particular routine asks you to get off or for some reason it needs to recalibrate.

3) Finally, you must ALWAYS back out all the way to the Wii Fit Plaza (where you pick your Mii) if you change players. Once the board is configured for one player, it will only be suitable for that individual. Its sensitivity is based on an individuals weight. For instance, if the board is calibrated for a 3-year old's Mii, and an adult decides to play any of the routines on that Mii, the board will be over sensitive (calibrated for the lighter weight). Conversely, if an sdult's Mii is selected and a child plays a routine, the board may not detect the movement.

I hope these steps will help. If not, please offer a step by step explanation on what you are doing and I will try to reassess your situation.
