Picture project not detecting camera since installed windows 7, how do we download pictures now. camera is being detected by pc so it doesnt appear to be a hardware issue, nikon resource center say they...

You could try the folowings:

1) Run your picture project program under XP SP 2 'compatibilty mode'.

2) Run the picture project program in XP mode if your computer and version of Windows 7 allows it (eg. Professional or Ultimate versions but your computer processor will need to support 'hardware virtualization).

3) Run the program in a Virtual machine with XP installed: I would use Sun VirtualBox which is free and does not need hardware virtualisation (unlike windows 7 'native' XP mode or VPC2007).

As you can see, you do have some options to overcome Windows 7 shortcomings! Hope it helps.

Need software to use me C-3030ZOOM for Windows XP

The camera is a standard serial and USB connect camera and what we Olympus recommends for XP users as well as their new software is to look into purchasing a smartmedia card reader that connects to USB port so that you are able to transfer images using the reader as opposed to connecting camera to PC. The camera connection is not truly XP compliant.

To learn about the new and free version of Olympus Master 2 software go to: http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/oima_softwareMaster.asp Click on 'Free Download' to register your email address to receive an email containing a link to download either the Windows or Mac version. This software replaces all previous versions of Camedia Master 2.x, 4.x and Olympus Master 1.x and is XP compatible.

Can't download pictures on Windows XP

First do a windows update, see if you have all the current versions of software on your computer. Then install the nikon software on your computer. If that fails, I recommend using a card reader to download your photos to your computer. Card readers are quicker and don't use any battery power to download either.

Disney Pix Digital Camera Drivers for Windows XP

My daughter just received one of these camera's for her 6th birthday and is extremely excited. I am running Windows XP and was getting the "No pictures on camera" error. I tried downloading the drivers for this but that did not work. Here is what I did to get the camera working:

1) Connect the camera with the provided USB cable.
2) Download the latest driver from the Digital Blue web site: http://digiblue.com/customer-service/downloads/index.html, select the "The Disney Pix Micro Drivers for WIN ME, 2000, XP"
3) Install this driver, this will not enable the camera to work yet.
4) After this driver has installed, go to Control Panel
5) Select System
6) Select the Hardware tab
7) Select Device Manager
8) Find the device in the list (mine said "USB Digital Still Camera"), will probably have the yellow exclamation mark on it saying that it is not working.
9) Double click the device
10) Select "Reinstall Driver" from the General tab
11) When asked if Windows can connect to Windows Update to search for software, select "Yes, this time only" and click Next.
12) Choose "Install the software automatically" and click Next.
13) You should get a message saying the driver for the "DB CIF Cam" has not passed the Windows Logo testing, select "Continue Anyway".
14) Click Finish.
15) The first time I did this, I needed to take a picture while the camera was connected to the PC.

After doing this I am able to download the pictures and everything works great. I hope this helps.

Cannon a20 digital camera

Go to this page, and select "Drivers and Dwonlaods" tab. Wait 20 seconds, then select Windows XP. Then download your driver.

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=8283#DownloadDetailAct

If the camera still doesn't download with the driver, then next recommend using a compact flash card reader instead to download your photos (been using one for years, and highly recommend it instead of downloading directly from the camera).
