Hi,
Let me know your tv model number and brand info to check its related manual for tuning section.
Model number info would be written on label pasted at back of tv.
Do you have cable for tv channels or air-antenna?
Thanks.

    ===========================================================

Do you get Cable/ Antenna section option in tuning Menu?
If yes, then make sure to select Cable and scan tv channels and if that does not solve tuning issue then I would check Tuner that sounds defective, its mounted on main board of tv and coax cable pin directly goes in Tuner.

Is it first time that tv hooked with cable or it was working fine before and recently started no-signal problem?
    Thanks.

SOURCE: 37" Polaroid LCD TV No signal appears when select channel

So, I couldn't get the tuner to work (tried everything). Eventually I realised the cheapest solution would be to buy a digital set top box, and use this as the tuner instead of relying on the one built-in to the TV. Works fine.
But yes, I won't be buying another Panasonic in a hurry.

Connect and put on both TV & Sat Receiver, then on UHF channels, auto or manual tune the Receiver's output signal, try to fine tune if auto or manual does not tune well.

switch tv to analogue tv and auto tune on tuning menu making sure sky is on. It should find it around channel 69. If quality poor then change output frequency to a lower channel. You do this with sky menu and instruction book. Info is changing RF output in book, or google it.

If your trying to receive over the air make sure the TV is not set to a Cable mode, if your on Cable your new TV is most likely a ATSC tuner (digital) and the cable company can map channels any way they want. If your old TV had the older style cable tuner, the lineup will be different.
HDTV has level thresholds, if the signal is weak you wont see anything, but the old TV would.
Without knowing much about where or what sort of TV your using, these are my best ideas.

Having weak signal are the most usual cause of not having it memorize in your flat panel TV channel when you re-scan to tune your flat panel TV. You will need a strong antenna receiver if you are trying to received a terrestrial channels. If still you got weak signal, you will opt to use an antenna booster, you need to get assistance from TV technician about doing this. Changing flat panel TV will not help, until unless the TV is equipped with strong tuner receivers (boosted type)

The screen is black and a little box that says no signal is moving around on the screen

Check your inputs. The no signal box means exactly that - there's no incoming signal for the TV to decode. So you've either disconnected a cable somewhere or turned off your input device.
Try changing the inputs on the TV (this will be a button saying input or A/V)
Try changing the channels
Check that your cables are correctly connected and that whatever you are trying to use (dvd player, PS3, etc) is turned on.
Check that your TV is tuned to the corresponding input it is plugged in to (if you plugged your DVD player into HDMI input 8, tune your TV to input 8)
Hope this helps.

DVD with RCAs, TV with Scart. Have an adaptor but no joy. Why?

The dvd has Y= video composite, R= Right channel audio, W= Left channel audio these are the common jacks of electronics, Now the G=Green,R=Red,B=Blue are usual Component VIDEO OUT/IN for higher video resolutions, this could explain no video picture, try the Y=Yellow to Y=Yellow from dvd to TV then set tv to a VIDEO input 1 or 2
