There is an overflow drain at the bottom of the freezer compartment.

Open the freezer compartment...
Locate screws on the back wall (from inside freezer compartment)
unscrew and open the back panel.
You will see a hole at the bottom which is the drain hole.
if you feel ice there... then that's the reason... the clog wont let water drain out and it accumulates at the bottom after a few days it leaks out of the fridge.

You can use a hair dryer to unclog that hole and within minutes, you will see the water on the drying pan located below the fridge.

Thank you and good luck!

Hi, I had this problem and solved it.
The advice is correct in that the drain was blocked however what I found was that when I looked at the drain tray at the back there was algae growing. I cleaned the tray and put a couple of drips of bleach in it. 2 years on I have not had any further problem.
The drip pan should be at the back.....

Take care

Hi, if the drip pan is not at the back of the refrigerator, then it is inside the refrigerator. Usually they are accessible because some pan do slide out, if it's in the front you have to take off the front grill, if you could see it from the top, you could clean it by using hose(small)/ wetvac/ long brush (tooth brush tape to woodenstick). the drain to the freezer usually go down to the same drain..

    Take care

HOW TO FIX LE ERROR CODE ON SAMSUNG DISHWASHER DMR78AHS

An LE error code on your dishwasher stands for "LEaking."

There is, what I call, a drip pan on the bottom that the water is dripping into. Remove your dishwasher and take off the lower the side panels to get a look inside the drip pan. If you have water in there, try to find out where it's coming from.

If there are no signs of water, tip the dishwasher over on its side and remove the plastic panel on the bottom of the dishwasher. Once removed, you can disconnect the connector to the leak sensor (it's mounted upside-down, with 4 wires coming out of it. If I remember right, the wires are blue and red).

Flip the dishwasher back upright and plug it in and see if your LE error code pops back on. If it pops back on, then you have a bad board. If it doesn't, then you either have a leak, or the "fangs" on the leak detector are shorting out, somehow.

Good luck!

PLHS267ZA is leaking water from the bottom (freezer side)

I would look under the fridge for a drip pan that might be full, so when it defrost it overflows the pan and runs on the floor. If not that you must have a blockage somewhere in the drain line that runs to the drip pan. Take out the shelves and take off the plastic panels to access the drain and drain line, pour some warm water down the drain to unplug it.

You will need to look for water line leaks but water in small amounts can also come from a defrosting drip pan. The dust and fuzz that get into these things over the years also can cause water to go where it is not suppose to.

Leaking water periodically under the refrigiater

When a refrigerator leaks water like yours, it is common for the problem to be nothing more than a clogged defrost drain. When the unit defrosts itself, the frost melt water drips into a pan underneath the evaporator in the freezer, and goes through a tube from there to the bottom outside of the unit. Since the water cant go down this drain, it backs up on the freezer floor, then eventually the kitchen floor.

I have water collecting on the bottome of my side by side refrigerator on the frigerator sided un the crisper.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Actually the leaking water is from the evaporator coil unit....(it is located at the back wall or underneath the freezer compartment). Under normal conditions,Self-defrost refrigerators usually dispose the water generated during the defrost cycle through a tube or channel that directs the water a pan (Known as Drip pan), commonly below the refrigerator unit....
The channel or tube is clogged and the water is leaking to the refrigerator/freezer unit, so you need to clear that blockage/contamination....Once the blockage is removed, the generated water will move through that channel/tube directly to the drip pan and there will no water on the floor in the refrigerator/freezer compartment. This is all you need to do....

Best of Luck,

Water leaking from bottom of refrigerator also thumping noise off and on

The water leaking for the bottom is most likely the drip pan leaking. The pan is to catch the water from when the freezer goes into defrost and melts the ice on the coil. The thumping noise happens when the compressor comes of the springs inside the compressor shell. this can happen when moving the unit or laying on its side during a move. The drip pan can be fixed. You just have to find the leak. The compressor can live a long time like it is It will just thump.
I hope this helps

Water leaking frigidaire frs23h5as

yes remove the rear panel in the freezer where you see the drain hole. Clear the ice from the drain hole. It will take a while for the water to start to drain because the ice is deep in the insulation. A small tube is helpful to draw some hot water in and stick in in the drain hole and squirt the hot water down in the hole.
