Question about Frigidaire FGB24S5A Gas Single Oven

Open Question

Frigidaire ples389ece range

I have a two year old range with about 50 hrs. of use. I had the range blower motor replaced. Then I had a circuit board replaced for the oven. My service repairman discovered that the power cord terminal block had a loose wire and caused the terminal block to short. Also, the oven does not come up to temp according to the operators manual. It say set the desired temp. for example 350 degrees once the oven is preheated to 350 a beep sounds. With my oven it is about 60 degrees to low. You have to wait about 10 more minutes. Is this normal with unit? Could the terminal block issue be my problem all along?  I also heard that Frigidaire made a batch of ranges. Could this be one of them? What do you suggest?
Thanks, Vincent

SOURCE: the terminal block that the power cord plugs into sparks

Hi,

The part is called the terminal block and is part number 5304409888

It gets burned due to not being connected tight when the oven was installed or worked on last.

Replace the block and repair any burned wire ends. Make sure connections are tight and you will be good to go

Have a frigidaire oven, model# PLES389ECE. Broiler heating heats up but lower (bake) element does not. Element need replacing?

mos likely yes... but to confirm is very easy... unplug unit or turn circuit breaker off... in the oven with door open you will see the back of bake element where it goes into oven wall a couple of screws remove them and you should be able to gently pull element out...there are 2 terminals connected to element with a wire attached to each of them... first we are making sure the wire hasn't burnt off or cam edisconnected and second we can remove wires and use a volt meter and test power... set it up so you don't get electricuted and tuen oven on bake 350 do you have power coming to the wires with element diconnected from wires...if so then you have a bad element if not then a bad thermal cutooff usually located in back of unit ... good luck to you...

F30 ERR message on Frigidaire Professional Series Range

I am a tech and just had this happen to me, so I can feel your frustration. I have replaced the temp probe, erc, and still had the problem.
Open the back, with the unit unplugged. On the lower right hand side there is a relay, beside the relay there is a "safety T-stat" disconnect from the circuit by removing one wire and read for continuity. If none is detected, replace t-stat and voila... stove works. Much cheaper than erc and probe...

Kenmore Elite made by Frigidaire 30" slide in electric range model # 790.46603501 shows F30 ERR. Oven will not work. Range top is fine. Help!!! Turkey to cook!! Lynne

The F30 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board detects an "open" oven temperature sensor probe circuit.
This is usually caused by a failed oven temperature sensor probe.

Replacing this component will likely fix your problem.

You can order this part from www.searspartsdirect.com website.

If you replace this part yourself, be sure that you unplug the range to disconnect electrical power before accessing this component.

On some models, you can replace the probe by removing the screws that mount this component to the inside back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the probe inside the oven cavity until you encounter the wire harness disconnect plug.
Unplug the sensor and replace it with the new one. Mount the new probe on the back wall of the oven.

On some models, you have to remove the lower back oven panel to access the sensor probe.

If you replace the probe and still have this problem, you will need to unplug the range and measure the resistance through the violet wires that plug into the control board (this is where the sensor probe circuit is connected to the control board).
If the resistance through the oven temperature sensor probe circuit is normal (about 1100 ohms at room temperature) then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.

I have the same problem with the LR, it is on all time and do not go off. What I did was to disconnect the yellow wire from the SF5601 power board terminal P3. Now I can use the other three burner until I got a new board. I don't have the circuit schematic but my diagnostic is that the board integrated output relay contacts are welded together. That is why the burner element is on all the time and or intermittent. THE VERDICT: The solution is to replace the surface power board SF5601

I have a Frigidaire electric oven model # PLES389ECE. It is two years old. It has maybe 50hrs of use. I had the oven blower motor go out. Then I had a circuit board malfunction.  The repairman discovered that one of the main terminal connections was loose and caused the terminal block to short. Could this have been the problem all along? Also, we are having a problem with the oven coming up to temp. According to the operating manual, set oven temp. lets say for example  350 degrees. Once the oven is preheated to 350 a beep sounds. With my oven the oven is about 60 degrees to low. You have to wait about 10 more minutes. Is this normal with this model? Has anyone else had problems with this model? I also heard that Frigidaire made a bad batch of ranges. Could this be one of them?
