Question about Cell Phones
The batteries get hot under pressure, it sounds like yours is on the way out. You might be using the Internet over long periods of time, that would cause your battery to get hot.
If you change your battery, get the real McCoy, it's worth paying a bit extra for the proper battery IE. Nokia, Sony Ericsson etc...

This is a manufacturer error with the phone, i had the same problem where when i would talk on it, it would heat up so much that i wouldn't be able to talk on it anymore. if you complain enough sprint might be willing to give you a new phone for the two year price if you have a contract.

SOURCE: battery dies too quickly
Did you fully charge your battery when you first opened the phone? If not, the battery will never hold a full charge. it tells in the booklet that comes with your phone. Not giving your phone at least 16 hours on the first charge might cause battery trouble later. You may need to replace the battery. I hope this helps.
