Try the focus dial on the left side of the evf .
I'm guessing your referring to Fuji S5200

No image showing on screen

Is there an image showing in the eyepiece/viewfinder? If so, look for and press a small button labeled 'EVF/LCD' to switch the image to the screen.

EVF blurred

Try adjusting the diopter. There's a knob near the upper-right corner of the viewfinder. Turn the knob while looking at the viewfinder.

See the "Diopter adjustment" section on page 39 of the manual.

Hello, could you help me please? On a canon 350D how do you switch beween evf to lcd when composing a picture? I cannot find any button that facilitates that function.

On cameras like these you cannot compose a picture on the LCD screen. You have to use the viewfinder and check the results on the screen afterwards. The viewfinder is not actually an electronic viewfinder, you are looking through the lens via a mirror as was the case on film cameras. When you press the shutter the mirror swings up and lets the image through to the ccd chip just as if it was a film camera.

My D90 LCD screen is not showing images nor lighting up. It is black.

Have you removed your lens cap? Have you turned it off? Does the small viewfinder work? if so go to the menu,,, not sure on your model if it has a separate button to turn it on and off, look in your manual for EVF

I cannot see through my viewfinder to take a picture, but can take pictures on the LCD monitor on my DMC-FZ50 digital camera. Joan

There is most likely a setting in the camera's menus so that you can switch between live view and the eyepiece. Search around, or check your manual.

LCD Monitor on ,and the Electronic Viewfinder turned off

If you turn on the back LCD, the electronic viewfinder will remain on while in a shooting mode. There is no setting on the camera to use only the back LCD monitor while shooting. If you playback images in the Play mode, only the LCD monitor will turn on. However, if you press the Monitor button while in the Play mode, than the back LCD monitor will turn off. The image will display only in the viewfinder LCD.
