Question about KitchenAid Architect II KHTU705S Stainless Steel Kitchen Hood

1 Answer

Hi, I bought the hood fan and the problem is it has 4 threaded nuts fixed on the top sections for fixing the hood. It is difficult to make correct judgement to make a hole to fix screws from the top of the cabinet. Since the blower weight is heavy, it is not easy to hold correctly to take measurement. Could anybody advise me to get this solved easily.

Noisy loose fan.Found a nut in the fan and trying to get it to stay on fan shaft but keeps falling off. Will this fix problem if can get it on?

Take the nut to a hardware store and ask for a self-locking nut. That type nut shouldn't spin off again. That MIGHT solve the noise problem, if the fan blades are wobbling, or the shaft is spinning within the fan's center.

The bobbin thread is loops on top of the fabric even when the top thread is loosened to 2

if you've taking the machine in 4 times to be fixed,,sounds like you need a different sewing machine repair shop.
have you tried changing needles?
have you tried rethread the top & bobbin thread
is it possible the bobbin thread in not correctly inserted in the bobbin case?
try a top thread tension of 5 & see what happens?

Which direction do i have to turn the nut to unscrew my mahindra bolero fan?

Hi I have seen several scrap fan motors because one did not ask which way but just tried! You are clever by checking first
There are two ways I determine the correct way!
1) See whether there is a piece of the thread sticking out past tghe nut. See whether you can make our the threads/. The threads are slanted!
Turn the nut in the direction that will slide it along the threads in the direction that you want ot to exit!
Remember that the fan nut & direction was designed as a self tightening mechanism.
If you look at the shape of the blades, ou can figure out which way the motor have to turn to propell the wind in the correct direction. now imagine, you are holding the fan, and the bmotor is trying to turn the fan. See what way you have to oppose the motor's push. That way is tight! So turn the nut in the opposite direction.

How do you get the water pump and fan disconnected from each other on a 1997 Dodge Pickup truck 318 motor?

you need a special tool , a fan nut tool , it's like a 1-1/2 " ,actualy a little smaller , i use a 1-1/2" wrench and smack it with a rubber mallet , but there is a tool for it , i think checkers auto has a loan -a-tool program , but to buy it is expensive , it is normal threaded - counter clockwise is off . a special tool holds the 4 bolts on the pulley and the other part of the tool fits on the big nut . sorry i can't fix ya , cuz who has a 1-1/2" wrench or the special wrench in there home arsinal .

Ha - I found the solution myself. You need to remove the 3 screws securing the fan motor. Once you've done this, you can wiggle the fan a few mm, far enough to be able to remove the top element screw.
