Hi,
Just because the ignitor is working, that does not mean that it is good...
If you have a gas dryernot heating up, igniter working and hose is clear - 2_bing.gif.
The most common problem with a gas and no heat is the ignitor going bad...

Here is a tip that I wrote about that problem...

You could have a defective gas control valve or a bad thermocouple. Also check the venturi tubes again. sometimes cob webs collect in them and it may be difficult to see unless you remove them and check.

Good luck,

My Rheem rgra will not ignite. There are no trouble lights.

Sound like a pressure switch issue .Take pressure switch hose off and make sure there is no blockage .If no blockage is found then put a jumper on pressure switch and it furnace work then pressure switch is bad .

Goodman GDS80703AXBC Flashing 6 times. Replaced Limit, Flame Roll Out, Flame sensor, Ckecked Flue. Furnace used to ignite then shut down flashing 6 times. Used central air over summer just fine. Now...

Per Goodman installation manual:
Misaligned burners, blocked flue, induced draft motor failure. I'd check the inducer first. Up top you'll see a small motor. Near it youll see a small ruber like hose. That hose goes to a round safety called an air proving switch. The end of the hose that connects to the metal, remove it and make sure the metal hole is not stopped up. Make sure the hose is clear and not kinked. Make sure the induced draft motor is working, should be the first action in a series of operation during heat. The air proving switch should close during normal operation, has 2 wires that are connected. Check all wires for loose connections, while the furnace is unplugged and no power present. Make sure everything is put back where it belongs and try it again. Most of these issues are IDM related but I have seen the rollouts open due to burners firing towards the wall of the unit, instead of into the opening of the heat exchanger. Work safe and I hope this helps!

Tries to ignite 3 times but does not ignite. Red light blinks 7 times usually when not working. Last time it was 8 times. Had service person in, but they have not found out what the problem is.

Sounds like a safety device is open, the pressure switch or if older unit it will have another type of safety switch, but the switch has to close when a call for heat begins. A pressure switch on newer units have a small rubber type hose to a port on the heater next to draft motor assembly, check the hose and port for a restriction, if all clear then the pressure switch may need replaced.

Evcon furnace, 3 red flashes indicates that the "pressure switch open". Thermal stat is set to automatic and set to heat. It sounds like it is trying to start but then turns off then will sound like it is...

I have 2 of these furnaces in my mobile homes. The booster assembly that has thea clear hose attached to it has a small wheel in it. Remove the 4 screws to this assembly and give the wheel a push. For some reason these tend to hang up after a few years. Freeing this wheel will allow the motor to engage. Simple solution to spending big bucks on unneeded parts :)

It just stopped heating

If you have a gas dryer the burner is ignited by a eletroniic ignitor. It will make a ckicking noise upon starting it when set in the heat mode. You should hear the click or clicking noise it makes within 30 seconds after starting the dryer. If no click is heard, replace the spark ignitor

Have comfortmaker furnace. 4-yr old. used maybe 30 dys in attic.igniter failed and replaced it.lite off and it ran for about 10 min and quit.igniter still good. troubleshooting light show hearbeat.will not...

When you replaced the igniter did you touch the metal part of the igniter? If you touched it then the igniter may be bad again. I think the pressure switch may be stuck. The pressure switch is round may be plastic or silver metal, it will have one or two rubber hoses on it. Pull the hoses off the switch and blow through it to clear hose to furnace. If you furnace is a 90% efficiency model then your drain going outside may be frozen and if it is then cut the drain so that only 6" sticks outside the structure.

Furnace keeps running, no heat

The pressure switch is not allowing the igniter to heat up. Pressure switch is blocked or the flue is blocked. Take the draft fan off and inspect the flue. Also inspect the rubber hose connecting the fan and pressure switch make sure the ends are tight. Make sure the hose is clear and not restricted. And the pressure switch sometimes is position sensitive. I don't think it has been moved or anything. And very rarely do they go bad.
