Its posible there is another ink cartridge that is now empty. Open the cover for the inks and see what it says on the display. If it asks for another ink replace the one it asks for. If its still asking for CYAn there may be something wron gwith the sensor for the cyan

The C534n says Cyan low (0%) was printing, now won't print.

If you're still going to print in colors, unfortunately, it won't print and there's no way for the printer to ignore your out of ink level unless you change the cyan ink. I understand how costly that can be but you can still make the printer print if you configure it for black-only printing. Here's a link to download the User's Guide for the instructions on how to configure printer for Color Lock Out Mode. http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/c53x/en/ug.pdf . Scroll to Printing, page 50, for the instructions. Since you won't be printing in color, you have to remove the color supplies. The User's Guide will give you instructions for that as well.

Photosmart C5280. Instructions on photo cartridge 348 say remove both black and colour cartridges, then install photo cartridge in right hand cartridge holder. Printer screen then tells me to install...

Your printer uses the following cartridges:

HP 74 - Black ink
HP 75 - Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow ink
HP 99 - Photo Black, Light Cyan, and Light Magenta

You need Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, and Light Magenta to print photos. To accomplish this you install the HP 99 photo cartridge where your HP 74 black cartridge usually goes and you keep the HP 75 color cartridge where it's at. I don't know why your printer told you to remove both cartridges, then reinstall the HP 75 color cartridge.

I inserted all new colors and the printer still says I am out of cyan. I have tried taking it out and reinserting

I have had a similar problem with a different company's printer, the problem was the little chip inside of the 'cyan' and there for nothing would print....so try changing the cyan only, if a new one doesn't work, then i'd say your S.O.L.

Printer's Problem

Remove the caterigies, and remove the driver from the system. After rebooting the system, re-install the driver again, and put catridges. Your problem will be resolved, if not then you need to change the color cateridge.

Best regards.

Printer keeps asking for a new cyan and Ive already replaced it!!

i don't have this model but mine did do this the area where the ink comes out is clogged try running clean ink heads if that don't help you will need to do it manually with a qtip and alcohol just don't press very hard might damages the printer read pins. If this fails you may need to take it to a repair place and have the head cleaned

Print black & white?

Your printer will keep using the color cartridges to keep the printing head working even if you don't print in color. If you need to print only in greyscale, buy a cheap HP printer (Printer only, not a PSC) and remove the color cartridge.
