I purchased a k800i second hand and found that when making a call i can,t hear the other person and and they can,t hear me. i tried it on speaker phone and i can hear the other person but they can,t hear me? i have just tried it with the corded hands free kit and all seems fine! please help me!
A problem with the internal microphone, or the contact between it and the circuit board, more often on the later, cause a condenser microphone is quite rugged. Anyway, it really needs professional attention, but if you're adventurous enough all you need is a T5 or T6 screw driver to open. Clean it, but don't use any liquid. Again, it's a delicate job, better handled by professional on that field. You might end up losing your phone altogether.

Their could potentially be a problem with your Phone speaker, have you made sure you have call volume turned on/up !? when in a call, press the volume adjustment buttons on the side of the phone and a small window should pop up saying Volume. if the call volume is up but there is still a problem with your phone, i would seek professional help from either Sony ericsson or your Mobile phone Carrier
