Through simple steps, this professional AVCHD to DVD Converter gives you an easy way to convert AVCHD to DVD without video quality loss so as to burn AVCHD to DVD to play AVCHD on DVD Player. You find it at http://www.avdshare.com/play-avchd-on-dvd-player
I opened the cover, found nothing smoked or loose, no tweaks available, in short there was nothing I could do without diagnostic gear. All other sources in my system were fine, so simple substitution confirmed the problem was output of Teac dvd player. Taking it to a repair shop would be $50 up front for fix-or-not... So, I went to Walmart and replaced it with a Sony DVD player for about $40. Regret loosing the look of matching components with my Teac receiver, cassette player but it's job is to play movies. Possible the DVD player is outputting in progressive scan mode. Try checking your manual to find out how to turn it back to interlace... with LG, it's either a button at the front, or a menu item in the Picture category... you could also try ejecting the disc, closing the tray and when it says "No Disc" then hold the stop button down for 5-10 seconds... see if that helps.
