Since 'home stereo systems' are normally equipped with speakers when sold, you should research which impedance and power levels it can even accommodate; they may be something not sold separately. If the jack is an odd one, this further enforces the possibility.
Durabrand is one of the several names used by Funai of Japan so you might try getting some info on your system there:

WILL IT WORK ON A TV THATS NOT BLUETOOTH CAPABLE

Hi Mike,

The TV requires an audio output jack. Either an Optical, a stereo "RCA phono" type or a stereo 3.5mm "headphone" type jack with the appropriate cable to mate with the speaker's optical or RCA input jacks are needed.

Download the manual from the page linked below under "Manuals and Downloads" and read page 7 where the details of these connection can be seen.

I have a panasonic tv and i need to know how to hook up home theather system lenoxx electronics model HT 3915

Hi, the Panasonic t.v. more than likely has more than one kind of output. One of them should be actually lit up with a red glow around the edges, that is the fiber optic digital sound output. It's called a" TOSLINK" connector and is plugged into a matching jack on the surround sounds rear panel. The t.v. may also have a "LINE OUT", " T.V. AUDIO OUT " or " FIXED AUDIO " output this may be in the form of a small 3.5mm stereo headphone jack ( i still call them 1/8 in. plugs) this you can plug into the surround sounds line input on the back panel. If the line input on back of the theater system is rca just use a stereo headphone plug to rca adapter. I hope this helped and thanks for choosing FixYa, good luck-Prodzilla

How to connect speakers to RCA model #RP-8070D

This unit is just a 5 disc CD player and cannot drive large speakers all by itself. Normally it is hooked up to a stereo receiver / amplifier which is what provides the power to drive the speakers which are wired to the back of the stereo amplifier.

If you have a home stereo, then just run the cables from the 2 AUDIO OUT connectors on the back of your CD player to the CD IN connectors on the back of your stereo.

Then turn your stereo on and select CD on your stereo input mode selector and you should be able to play the cds on your RCA and hear them through the stereo speakers.

If you do not have a stereo amplifier with speakers to connect it to, then you can always listen to it through headphones connected to the headphone jack.

Or if you have a set of self powered amplified speakers, like the kind you hook up to a computer, then you can run the AUDIO OUT cable from your cd player into those as well.

Good luck.

How to hook up cable box, dvd player, and tv, to the home theatre system

Instructions things you'll need:
  • Composite video cable
  • TV
    • 1 Place the front left and right speakers on each side of the TV with the speaker labeled "Center" either above or below the TV screen. Set the rear speakers behind the seating area at head level and place the subwoofer on the floor a few inches away from the wall, which can absorb bass sounds if the sub is pressed against it.
    • 2 Connect the plug on the end of each speaker to the jack labeled for that speaker on the back of the Durabrand receiver. The cables are permanently attached to the speakers, so each may need to be moved closer to the receiver. For example, the left front speaker connects to the jack on the receiver labeled "LF."
    • 3 Plug the video cable from the Video OUT jack on the back of the receiver to a Video Input jack on the back of the TV.
    • 4 Plug in the Durabrand receiver and TV to the electricity and switch on both components.
    • 5 Press the "Input" button on the TV remote several times until the Durabrand signal displays on the screen.

Could you please tell me where i can get a tripole jack for my portable dvd? the name of the dvd is durabrand, model is pdv 705U with a 7" lcd display. thank you.

I ake it you require audio out for your stereo system.
A "tripole jack" as you describe it, is a standard "Stereo" jack. All you need to know when you visit a shop is whether it is 2.5mm 3.5mm or 1/4inch, standard jack.
It has three poles, right, left and ground signal. Nothing more sinister than that. The same as a headphone jack.
Hope this helps.

Most stereos like that have a fuse inside. I would take off the the cover and check for one. It should be close to where the power cord connects to the circuit board

I have a durabrand speakerphone ph-3235 and i am looking for a headset for this model

I have a plantronics headset with volume control that i was using for my old cell phone. Now the jack is 1/4 stereo type plug and the duraband speaker phone plug is 1/8. So i went to Radio Shack and got a plug adopter to make it work and it's great.

Here is the specs

(1/4" Stereo Jack to 1/8" Stereo Plug Headphone Adapter pixel.gif Model: 274-366 | Catalog #: 274-366 pixel.gif
This stereo inline audio adapter accepts a 1/4" stereo plug and fits a 1/8" stereo jack.)

Durabrand 2.0 CH USB Speaker System

Hi, Based on your post/description, the Durabrand 2.0 CH USB Speaker System is a basic external speaker that plugs into your PC's speaker/headset output (green jack). It is supposed to get its power from the +5VDC supplied by the USB port. Some USB port have current limiting therefore it can be anywhere from 10 - 500 mA. The power requirement of your external Durabrand speaker maybe beyond what the PC's USB ports can supply. It does not need to be recognized by the OS since it only connects to the USB to get power but there is no data interaction. Perhaps what you can do is get an external +5VDC power supply whose output is in USB type connector. The current rating would depend on the requirement of your speaker. Offhand, if the speakers are not that big, probably a 1 Amp would do. This is of course assuming that the Durabrand speaker system is fully functional. If with an external power supply it is still a no go and you have verified that sound do come out of your green jack (with the use of an ordinary headset), then the Durabrand is defective. Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
