Question about Zanussi F1045W Front Load Washer
Hi. i need to swap the brushes how do i access the motor. it looks like i have to lay the machine on it's back and take a plate off the bottom. seems a bit excessive just for brushes but can't see any other way.
Yes you can lay the machine on its back and depending on the type of motor you will need either a posidrive screwdriver or a small 5.5 socket. You will need a torch to locate the brushes which are at the rear of the motor be careful as not to lose the screws in the motor when removing or replacing sometimes a bit of bluetac on the tool you are using can help to hold the screws.Be careful with the new carbons on the brushes as they can break easily, take note as you remove the old ones and locate the new ones onto the pegs and replace the cables.I am not sure of the plate you are talking about. If you have problems then it may be easier for you to remove the motor but you will have to split the body of the machine
