Black ink ran out, replaced it with new brother cartage and now it only print part of the text

Run a cleaning cycle on the print head through your printer utility. Then run a check nozzle test to verify if the nozzles are cleaned. Use only denatured alcohol and a Q-Tip to manually clean the cartridge holder & orifice.

Nothing at all? If yes, problem is in the printer main board. Lost electricity to the head.

Are the ink cartridges just a few copies, I have new copier and print is very faint

Hi,

You need to clean the print head and insert the cartridge and check, whether it is working at fine because a dirty printer header will not allow the right formulation of the basic cyan, magenta, and yellow to print and comes up with the yellow color and not red.
If you still face the problem after cleaning print head then you need to check for a clogged nozzle. Clean the nozzle and then try printing it will work fine now.
To clean the print head from the Utility section found in the printer driver, clean the print heads by performing a head cleaning followed by printing a nozzle check pattern. Furthermore, you can clean the print head by Using a cotton Q-Tip & Isopropyl Alcohol and gently rub the print head with alcohol.

Hope this helps.

Brother MFC-290C not printing black

Hi,

The nozzle may be blocked. So take out the colour cartridge and place its nozzle in a bit of water for about 10 mins. Bring it out and dab the nozzle with folded paper. If the tissue is blotted with the three colour it means you have unblocked the nozzle. Try now to print after returning the colour cartridge. You may need to repeat to get good results.

Thank you!!

Faint printing after cartridge change & head cleaning

How about nozzle check output? Is it perfect? No missing lines? Do head cleaning, wait for 30 minutes. Check nozzle again. If there are no difference betwen two output, you may need cleaning head manually.

Only black and blue will print on test page; yellow and magenta does not. Ink was just replaced.

Did yellow and magenta print OK before the previous cartridges ran out? If so, it looks like your new cartridges are not working properly. Try another yellow and magenta cartridge - you can re-use the previous cartridges if they turn out not to be faulty. If new cartridges don't solve the problem, you can try soaking the print head, in case you have nozzles blocked with dried ink for some reason.

Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves out of its parking position, pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head by hand fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Do not turn the printer on at any stage in this process. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then turn the printer on and try a head clean/nozzle check again. If you get any magenta/yellow ink on the nozzle check, then there is hope! Repeat the head clean/nozzle check process 2 or 3 times, but not more. Leave for 24 hours for any air bubbles to disperse. If nothing, repeat the soak process once more. If still nothing, post a new comment detailing what you have done and the results.

Yellow cartridge stopped workin halfway through a document although nearly full

Hi, one or two head cleans won't clear a badly clogged nozzle. Try doing 4 or 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:

Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Note that head cleaning uses between 5 and ten percent of your ink cart's, if any are low on ink have some new ones ready. Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Epson stylus c40 ink not coming through please help

Have you just fitted new cartridges? Are you confident the new cartridges are full and in-date? Can you confirm that the old cartridges were not removed until immediately before the new cartridge was installed. Did you remove the yellow tape from the new cartridges before you installed them? Were the cartridges changed properly such that an ink charging cycle occurred?

Have you carried out any head cleaning cycles? If not, do it. Have you done a nozzle check print? If not, do it. Any sign of ink? Yes, but not perfect? If so do a couple more head cleans and nozzle checks. If still not perfect, let it rest for 24 hours to disperse air bubbles. Then repeat. It may take patience to get things back to normal.

If you have already done lots of head cleans with no result, and you're sure you have good ink cartridges properly installed, then You can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. If nothing, repeat the process once more. If still nothing, post a new comment detailing what you have done and the results.
