This site should help you get the case open.

http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Guides/ps2diy/

you need to get in there and find out what's causing the button to stick. It could also be the button on the front of the drive that's stuck. if that's the case you might be able to pop it back out once you get the outer PS2 case off using a knife or a small screwdriver.

Door jammed

try opening it it has six screws just remember where it goes then youll see another cover for the cd player also remove the top part then you should see whats inside jamming it and try to yank just a little but be careful on the wires you dont want that severed, now try to pull tray and push back then try to power it up first how the goes or where it jams then you can adjust it. after this place back the parts where they were before and try it again, i hope this helps you thnk you ands let us know if this works and we will try to give our best again..

Ds lite L and R button dont work

Seriously, wrap your lips around the button and blow. Make an air tight seal. I know it sounds stupid, I thought so when I read it here http://schlaghund.wordpress.com/2008/03/27/low-tech-ds-lite-lr-button-fix/

It worked for all them, myself included.

Enjoy!

Sony play station 2 disk holder wont open

I think, either the "hook" that holds the cap of the holder has been stuck or broken and jammed...have you tried opening it? I recommend having a "fixer" do the job and check it for you...

Ps3 jammed disc

Unfortunately their is no step by step or guaranteed method to fix this. Here are a few things you could try: turning it off and on, press/hold the eject button, resetting while holding the eject button, shaking or tapping it a little while trying to eject it, holding it different ways ex. face disc opening down towards floor while gently tapping and pressing the eject button. Essentially do whatever you can to get the disc to jar loose, >but whatever you do, don't for any reason stick anything in the slot or try to open the case <Doing this will void the warranty for sure! If none of these work your last resort would be to return it for a new one (providing you still have your receipt and it's less than a year old) or take it to a costly repair guy.

if you have warrenty by all means get it repaired , but if not go onto ebay buy the switch unit and Turn off the ps2 while on to discharge it , make sure you touch your hand on a metal object every 15min open up the ps2 and on the right or left should be the switch and you pull on the ribbon VERY LIGHTLY and it should pop out (cable)and you should be able to take out the switch and then replace switch and connect it .Close the console and see if it works

Disc read error

Your PS2 lens is faulty or it is physically jammed in it's metal rod which stops the lens to move smoothy. you better open the PS2 console and observe it offline for jam. or replace the lens with a new one.
