Question about Echo Blower Nozzle 21001420561 Es 210 211 230 2100 231

Open Question

Echo ES 210 won't start. It has good compression, good spark and I put some fresh gas in the spark plug hole. Do crank seals ever go bad on these? Flywheel key sheered? I'm out of ideas.

SOURCE: echo es-210 stop running

This is as simple as it gets. If the carb is 10 years old and has not

been rebuilt in the past 2 or 3 years it will need to be rebuilt or

replaced. The average life of the diaphragms is about 2 to 3 years,

If your carb has limiters which will only allow the adjustment

screws to turn about 1/2 turn, you will likely not get any relief from

adjusting the carb. You will have to take the unit to a local dealer

for help. Most likely you will need to replace or rebuild the carb.

Check the grommet that sits on top of tank where lines from go carb. Grommet may be rotten and crack. Try that. Have you ever replace the carb repair kit? The diaphram may be torn, defoam or have holes in them. Carb kit cost arount $10, but don't mess with the welch plug or screen in carb.

How do you check if you have compression on a 84 porsche 944

You have to buy or borrow a compression gauge tester. It threads into the spark plug hole; so you pull all the plugs out, then check each cylinder's compression. The proper way is to first disable gas and spark, put the tester into the first cylinder, then crank the engine over a set number of times- the same amount of cranking for each cylinder, so all get a balanced test. While cranking, hold the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor-this lets the engine breathe normally, getting all the air available. then compare your compression readings: a good healthy engine will have all cylinders pretty even, in the range of somewhere between 150 psi-200 psi. Low compression readings means compression is being lost somewhere, like worn piston rings, bad head gasket seal, or valves not sealing.

Wondering if you have any compression at all? Hold your finger over a spark plug hole while someone briefly cranks the engine over. You can tell if there's any compression at all-you will feel the pressure build up under your finger. Rent or buy the gauge tester to get a true reading of your compression.

My 2000 v star 1100 classic It won't start and when I try I can her a big noise coming from under the seat can any one help me Thanks

Start off, if it has been sitting 6 mos., CLEAN CARBS. Pull plugs & check for engine cranking with no compression. Take comp. test or just put your thumb over plug holes, It should have compression enough to blow off thumb. Put plugs in wires, hold against head away from plug holes & gas, And check for sparking. If that's good. Put back in plugs & try to start. Bad noises at this point means MAJOR motor work needed. Motor out of frame.

My MTD Yard machines riding mower won't start.

Probably dead gas from sitting too long. Dump it out & put in fresh gas.Could have moisture in it. Pull out spark plug & crank it over several times after putting gas & let it sit a while to dry out or blow it out with compressed air. It should go.

How to check compression on 2000 polaris 250 trail blazer

This may be a bad spark coil or pickup coil on the ignition system. Is the engine getting gas is the primary question. If it has spark then the next step is checking to see if it's getting fuel into the combustion chamber. A quick check to see if the engine has compression is to use a compression test gauge, if one is not available the remove the spark plug and place a finger tip over the spark plug hole enough to create a seal and then crank the engine over if your finger is pushed off the spark plug hole quite rapidly then chances are you have good compression if it just pulses then there could exist other internal conditions causing low compression and not generally the pistons rings.

After starting and operating the chainsaw for a short time, it dies and I can't get it started again. Suggestions?

Engines require 3 things. Spark, compression and fuel. And chainsaw need 2-cycle oil mixed with the gas.

Assuming you have the right oil-gas mixture and a fresh batch of gas, and you didn't leave old gas in the saw all summer long since last November.

-Take off the dirty air filter and see if saw starts without filter. Do not run without putting in new filter.
-Check exhaust port for mud dobber home or screen clogged with carbon and dirt
-See if saw fires up after squirting WD-40 directly into carburetor
-Check gas line >>> pull gas line loose and see if gas flows out of tank to carburetor
-Take out spark plug > put finger over spark hole and pull cord >> do you feel suction that says you got compression?
-Put spark wire back on spark plug >>> hold spark plug so threads touch bare metal part of spark plug hole >>> pull starter cord and see if spark shows between plug and saw >>> suggest you not hold metal part of spark plug while pulling cord [you'll understand why]
-If spark plug shows spark, then your saw has spark ... so put in new plug and start fresh.

If your saw has compression, spark, and fuel it should start unless carburetor is gummed up because gas was left in tank.
Here is the final trick. Start the saw while spraying WD-40 directly into carburetor and see if you can keep it going with the WD-40. This might take a helper. If this does not work, then carburetor is bad or gas line is clogged at carburetor. Time to take it to the shop.

I have a 1991 honda cr 250 I cant get to start at fist gas ran right thru carb and out bottom i took carb apart and got the floats to stop sticking cleaned it out with carb cleaner put back together but...

try a new spark plug. if u fowl out a plug some time they will not fire under compression.2 strokes need. fuel, fire and air, very simple engines.it is possible crank seal are bad .that doesn't allow the engine to create vacuum in the crank case.thus fuel and air will not make it to combustion chamber.
