Question about Sony DSC-T7 Digital Camera

1 Answer

After submerging my DSC T7 under water with the use of the proper water casing Cyber-shot SPK-THA, the control buttons to the left of the viewing screen and the focus control on top started malfunctioning. I pulled out the battery and memory card and tilted the camera such that the opening for the battery slot is facing downward thinking that if water permeated the casing, it would dry out. It worked for a while but returned to the original problem. The menu button works though but I couldn't do anything or re-initiate as the other controls are not working.

Other than your camera has had it, there may be some residual dampness still shorting circuits.

Again remove battery and open any orifices you can and put it in the airing cupboard or any where warm for a few days then try again.
