Bostitch MIII FN drive pin is broken

The driver is held on the piston stem by a steel dowel/pin. There are nylon inserts on either side of the dowel to hold it in place. Pry the inserts out and press the pin out to seperate the driver from the piston stem. If you don't damage the inserts, you can reuse them. Bostitch recommends replacing them any time they are removed.

Cylinder is cocked in the chamber

by cylinder I take it you mean the piston, and if so you will probably need to replace the piston along with the chamber, it has probably scored the inside when it twisted or when you try and remove it. What I would do it remove the chamber with the cylinder and try and hit on one edge or the other to straighten it and then remove the broken part. You can download a breakdown for this tool at "dewaltservicenet.com" Let me know if you need more assistance.

Driver blade does not retract

if it is an air nailer, then its the return band or the o-ring on the piston of the driver. if the piston o-ring is worn or broken, then the air that pushes and pulls the driver just goes around the driver instead of moving it, if it is not the piston o-ring, then remove the cylinder and replace the broken return band, it is usually the bottom (sometimes wider) o-ring

Cooil nailer will drive one nail but piston will not return

it sounds like it needs a thorough cleaning to remove the asphalt and new o ring kit installed. The o rings are probably dry or worn and won't retract the piston, also look at the feed piston to make sure spring isn't broken, but I would clean and rebuild, its not that hard if you are handy with tools.

CRAFTSMAN NAILER

I had the same issue with an older craftsman 351-18309 brad nailer and crown stapler. When I pulled off the top of the piston, there was a denigrated o-ring. I took an ear bud for my Bluetooth headset, cut it to size and stretched it to prevent it from holding the spring... And I'll be damned it worked! It both tools!!

Bostich gun problem

If the piston/driver is broken, the gun will fire however nailing will not take place because the piston will jam in the cylinder. Sometimes the cylinder will also crack when the driver goes. If the piston is not broken but stays down, then check the cylinder check valve, worn lower bumper, bent driver or cracked cylinder. 18 guage nailer has a very thin driver which will easily bend or break. Parts however are not expensive.

Nails won't shoot

18 guage nailer has a very thin driver and plastic cylinder which bends or breaks easily. Remove the head noting all the parts in the head and remove the piston which should be at the top of the cylinder. Check for broken or bent shaft. Most likely broken and jammed in cylinder. Parts are not expensive. Check WWW.toolpartsdirect.com for diagram and parts
