Problem for Siemens SpeedStream Modem (4100) (SS4100)

No green light on modem for internet, all others solid green/Seimans 4100B from at&t

internet connection stopped, could get online before, now cannot
when i ipconfig in command prompt all i get is :
Windows IP configuration: no IP
HELP frustrating

Check if the hardware (modem) is recognised in the device manager (icon my computer > right click, > properties, > hardware, > device manager).
  1. if its recognised then right click it select properties and then select diagnise and see if your computer is communicating correctly with your modem.
  2. If its there but fails to diagnise then goback to the device manager update the driver and try process one again.
  3. if its there and diagnise well, then all you need is restart your computer after turning off other potential modem devices eg mobile phone connections or bluetooth, after restart try using your moddem once again (I am assuming you havent deleted any important files or change your settings.
  4. If three fails, then restore your computer to an earlier time when you were still able to use your modem (start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore ) and follow the procedure that follows.
