Question about GoVideo Go Video DVD/VCR Combo
The symptoms are usually telling you that there is a lens problem. In some case a firmware problem can give the same result, but the most common is the lens problem.
If problem is firmware, the manufacturer is usually aware, and there will be an update available.
The first thing to do would be using a cleaner disk. Before using a cleaner disk, better calling the manufacturer at the number listed on the owners manual. Sometimes the use of a cleaner disk can affect warranty.
In your case, GoVideo has unfortunately closed down, and manufacturer support is not available.
I did not find any known frimware issue on this model.
The problem is likely the lens, you can read about similar problems here:My player does not read disks .
If the lens cleaner does not work, then all you could do is disassembling the unit and cleaning the lens with cleaner solution , or isopropyl alcohol, and soft cotton QTips.
Do this at your risk. As said, there is always the chance that you touch and damage some other part if you do it wrong, and this operation will invalidate eventual warranty.
