It sounds like it might be the picture tube. I'm not a T.V. repair person but I'm just going by past experience.

While watching TV we got sound and the TV stoped working.. No picture.. when we turn on it makes noise..but no picture..what could be the problem.. Do you the lamp is gone.. or some other problem..

IT may because of over heating and more alternate current.....the picture tube is gone away from which video is not seen and speakers are tered due to high volume it seems so but do take that channel you are watching is consists of a channel.....otherwise without channel it ll make sound possibly......

Toshiba 61h70 Picture Problems Hello, I have a Toshiba 61h70 TheaterView HD Projection TV, and was recently having some slight convergence issues (red was out of alignment and could not be adjusted). So I researched and found that the IC?s (STK392-110) needed to be replaced. I initially purchased them on eBay, to later find out that they were cheap clones and did not work (they made the convergence worse, actually). I then purchased 100% Sanyo IC?s from a reputable dealer and replaced the IC?s again. Once finished, I then entered the service menu and adjusted the convergence alignment. Once the alignment was perfect, I hooked back up the TV antenna, the DVD player (composite), and the S-video from my computer. The convergence is fine, but now I?m having a totally different issue ? the video is ?scrolling?. The menus will show up fine, however any incoming video inputs will show up okay for a split-second, but will then flash and the picture starts to scroll in different directions. This happens with any of the video inputs. I checked and changed all the service menu items to factory defaults, however this had no effect. I have pasted a link below to a short video that illustrates the issue that I?m having. Please note that the video starts off with a black screen, showing the ?input? menu, and then I selected the ?TV input? and changed the channels. You will see the picture fine for a moment when the channel is first changed, but then the picture will start to scroll. Any ideas of what would be causing this? And how can I correct the issue? I?m not a TV repair expert, so I?m not even sure where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i303/hybrydmike/?action=view₪t=TV_Troubles.flv
