The problem will be in what senses the pilot is lit. Either a thermocouple or maybe it uses an electrode and flame rectification. If it is an electrode you can try cleaning it. If it is a thermocouple you will have to replace it.

Sw6p suburban won't stay lit. My 6 gallon hot water heat on my 2007 camper won't stay lit, I go and light the pilot light and it lights but I turn the gas up and it blows out please help

the thermal couple is likely bad .
when you release does pilot stay lit or only as long as you hold the button .

if it stays lit then the thermal couple is good
if it only blows out as you turn on the heat then its draft issue.

We have an atwood lp gas water heater 6 gallon g6a7 white rogers control. The pilot lights but when we turn it to on it goes out, even after holding it up to a minute. It was running fine, we thought we...

If pilot stay lit, then thermocouple is working.
If pilot will light, then you have gas. If pilot goes out when pilot button is released, then thermocouple is next suspect.

Thermocouple tip must sit in pilot flame.
The pilot light heat applied to two different metals inside thermocouple causes small current.
The current travels back to gas control valve through copper line.
If the gas valve receive this current, then a magnetic switch stays open and allows gas into the gas control valve.
The magnetic switch is on the end of the red button you push down when lighting pilot. Essentially the red button is an override to the magnetic switch.
If the gas control valve does not receive the current, then the magnetic switch does not stay open when you release the red button.
When replacing thermocouple, note that it is not screwed very tight into the gas control valve. Finger tight + 1/4 turn. If it is overtightened, then the small thermocouple current shorts out against the gas control body.

The lit was out, without a manual on hand, how do I re-lit it/ Thanks.

If you're talking about a heater, you have to push, usually a red button, in, and then light the pilot gas light. Keep the red button pushed in for about a minute, until the thermocouple gets hot and turns on the gas valve, then release the rebutton, and it should stay lit. If you're having problems, you maybe have to try it two or three times, and, as soon as you can, replace the thermocouple (the long rod that gets heated by the pilot flame).
If you have a different system, such as an electric igniter, you'll have to push a button to engage it, and it should ignite. If it doesn't, it could be defective, or your valve could be going bad.
Hopefully, you will get it relit. They do blow out with random drafts, occasionally.

Water heater will not stay lit even after replacing thermal coupl

The pilot must encompass the thermocouple "bulb" in order for the thermocouple to generate enough current to keep the pilot valve on. You must also hold the red button down for a long enough period to get the thermocouple hot. If the pilot is not large enough, it could be due to a clog in the pilot orifice at the pilot itself. Sometimes a couple of passes over the end of it with fine steel wool is all it takes to clear it.

Hope this helps. Feel free to share what you found. Thanks.
