You have a stuck cold water solenoid valve.
Try openning the machine and tap on the cold solenoid valve.
If this dowes not work, you may have to replace the valve.

Check that the pressure switch tube is connected to pressure switch. Check that the water inlet valve is not stuck open. To check start washer, turn washer off, if water continues to flow the valve is stuck open, replace.

THE SCREEN SHOWS IE

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
An IE error code will appear if the washer has not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes. If an IE error code appears on the washer, check to make sure both hot and cold-water taps are open completely. After both valves have been opened, unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.
There are filters on the inlet hose connections of the washing machine. They are intended to filter away mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from getting into the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through these filters into the washer. Turn off both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washing machine, and clean the inlet filters gently but thoroughly.
If the inlet hoses are not attached to the machine correctly, it will prevent proper water flow to the washer. Turn off the hot and cold water supply then disconnect and reconnect the inlet hoses. Ensure that they are threaded properly. After the hoses have been reconnected, open the water taps completely, check for leaks, and unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.
And finely if all of this does not work then the inlet valve on the machine needs to be replaced ok?
Hope this all helps

Washer stopped and door is locked shut and will not restart even after unplugging

Probably a faulty interlock which stops the door from opening when washing.

I have an LG WM1814CW not getting .

At first we did not see any filters in the water hoses ... but after pulling the machine away from the wall we did find one - and it was clogged shut. So removing the material DID fix the cold water supply problem.
Thank you.

Did you check the simple things first?
Often, one of (up to) three screens are in line with both water feeds; one at each end of the connecting hose, still another at the input to the control valve.

Hot water runs constantly - overfills

This is often, if not all the time, a faulty fill valve, the fill valve has mechanically stuck open and is not fully shutting off when not the washer is not in use. This normally will become worse and could flood over the top of the washer = big mess .... replace the fill valve. The fill valve is the part the hot and cold water hoses are attached to.

I purchased a front loader washer and I only have a cold water line no hot,I hooked it up and the machine comes on but no water comes in the machine....can someone please help me figure this out??????

ok no problem where going to try this but your going to have trouble in the end...since you only have a cold tap ,,use a y hose to booth vavle dont cap of the hot,,,now you purchase a unit that has atc,,automatic temperature control..meaning the unit control how hot or cold the water will be in degrees,,,when you start the unit it puts hot in at the start even in a cold wash to break down the soap in the dispencer,,it doent know if you use powder or liquid,,so it just shots hot water though for a few second,,now that comes back to the begging,,if you put clothes like whites and that atc does nt sense that hot water the unit will stop until it do,,and you will get a code,,im here onthejob

It is possible that the water solenoid is stuck open, sometimes they can be cleaned and yet sometimes they will need to be replaced
