Probably the thermal limiter fuse. if it gets too hot because of lint etc. then it will blow and the dryer will not heat. I am having the same problem. There are usually two fuses in the back

Dryer control doesn't move on less dry more dry setting and will not shut off when clothes are dry.

If clothes are hot then try dryer on timed dry. If timer does not move then timer is most likely bad . Replace. If timer moves on timed dry it is not getting hot enough to click the cycling thermostat.(If clothes are overly hot above 160 then the cycling therm. is stuck Replace.

Whirlpool dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes.

Clean/repair the dryer vent. If the airflow is restricted the result is the one you just described.

Good luck,

My dryer runs and gets hot but cloths don't dry.

Your problem may be attributed to a clogged exhaust system (e.g.: clogged inside the dryer's vent, flexible vent behind dryer clogged and/or clogged inside wall, etc.).

Dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes Roper REX4634KQ1 Electric Dryer

The vent may be stopped up, or the vent hose crimped so the air cannot escape, you can check the air flow at the vent on the outside of the house while the dryer is running.
try cleaning the vent and the lint screen with a vacuum cleaner, you may need to replace the vent hose, this should solve the problem

Dryer gets hot but wont dry clothes

Do you know if the dryer vent is free of obstructions?Check outside where the dryer vents outside ,and see if the air is weak or flowing freely. If it is not clogged the air should be pretty strong from the vent outside. If it has blockage it will definitly take longer to dry your clothes.

Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it
