Check the switch that is operated by the door and see if it is stuck in. That will keep your lights from working.

I would say the problem is going to be in that switch. If you can remove it unplug the refrigerator and connect a jumper to the wires and then see if the lights work. Use caution and don't get shocked.

Yes, you can get one from Whirlpool or a local appliance store should be able to get you one.

GE Monogram ZV950S D2SS range hood - lights on one side stopped working then on both sides. This happened as I was changing bulbs. Everything else works.

Light doesn't work
  1. Light bulb
If your refrigerator light does not power on, the first thing to replace would logically be the light bulb itself.
  1. Light assembly
If your refrigerator light does not power on and you have replaced the bulb, this is an indication that the light assembly may have malfunctioned and will require replacement.
  1. Light switch
If you notice that your refrigerator lights are not working, replace your refrigerator light bulb. If this does not correct the issue, proceed to check the power light switch.
  1. Door switch
If your refrigerator light is not working and it is not the bulb itself or the power light switch, the next thing to check is the door switch. This can be checked for continuity with an ohm meter. If there is no continuity present, the door switch will need to be replaced.
  1. Light socket
If your refrigerator light is not working after replacing the light bulb, check for a possible damaged light socket. If the socket is faulty, replace the part to get your refrigerator light to power on again.
  1. Light board
If the refrigerator light is not working the light board could be defective. The LEDs on this board are not repairable, so the entire board will need to be replaced.

How to change light bulb in Kenmore refrigerator serial no. 4A31214613 ?

Open freezer and reach to the back of the plastic cover over the light. You'll feel a gap in the back center of the cover. Gently pull forward and the cover will drop down and pull to the back to fully remove it. Once you've removed the cover you can unscrew the bulb, which you can use to make sure you purchase one like it and most hardware stores, such as Ace or Home Depot. Reverse the removal instructions to install light and cover. Light should turn on once you've screwed it in.

How to change light bulb in refrigerator

Hello,

Unplug the Whirlpool refrigerator from the electrical outlet.
Step 2
Locate the bulb on the inside of the Whirlpool refrigerator.
Step 3
Remove the light cover. Usually these just snap off, but, on some models, they may need to be unscrewed. Use your screwdriver to unscrew the light cover retaining screws (if required).
Step 4
Unscrew the old light bulb.
Step 5
Screw in the new light bulb.
Step 6
Replace the light cover. Plug the Whirlpool refrigerator back in. Test your new light bulb.
Also note that the below can also work

Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
Slide the light bulb cover toward the back of the compartment to release it from the light assembly.
Replace burned-out bulb(s) with appliance light bulb(s) no greater than 40 watts.
Replace the light bulb cover by inserting the tabs on the cover into the liner holes on each side of light assembly. Slide the cover toward the front until it locks into place.

NOTE: Do not force the cover beyond its locking point; doing so may damage the light cover.
Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.
To change the freezer light bulb:

Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.

NOTE: You may need to remove the upper freezer shelf or basket to access the light assembly.
The light bulb cover opens from the back. Firmly press forward on the notches in the back of the cover and pull down the cover.

Remove the cover and replace the burned-out bulb with an appliance bulb no greater than 40 watts.
Insert the front tabs of the cover into the liner and snap the back portion of the cover over the light assembly.
Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.

Good luck in applying the solution

Lights are not working in the refridgerator. Freezer lights work. Replaced switch, still no lights

did you replace the bulb? what you can also check, and the likely cause will be the socket itself. unplug the fridge from the wall outlet, remove the bulb from the socket. you will see 2 copper tabs, on e on side, one at bottom of socket, bend these slightly toward you, to ensure they contact bulb. replace bulb, plug back in and check. I have replace another bulb in this piece of

there are switches on the door compartment,If those switches are not made would cause this problem. There is a tab that sometimes gets bent back, you may have to bend it back so the door will push it back far enough to make the switch. Also the switch it self could be bad. Check it with an ohm meter. Hope this is helpful.
