Hello. If you have not formatted the card in your camera, go to the camera menu and locate the format function. then reformat the card. If this does not fix the problem take out the card and look around the perimeter of the card for the locking mechanism. Make sure the card is unlocked.

Memory card cannot be read

Hi there,

Have a nice day

My name is adieh.

With regards to your problem with memory card. I suggest you to
confirm first whether the memory card is still good or bad by using a card reader, put the camera
memory card into the card reader then connect it to your system, see whether the system will read your card, if the system doesn't read it, it simply means that memory card is bad and you need to replace it with a genuine memory card, but if it works it means that the card slot on the camera is not good. So, you neither need to service your camera or you replace the memory card.

Hope it helps.

Cannot read 4gb memory card

Check that your camera can read the format of your memory card.
There are SD memory cards and also SDHC memory cards.
The SDHC memory cards are a new format that cannot be read or written to by many cameras.

My mobiles memory card goes on saying checking memory card or memory card not inserted i gave for service some six times and every time they reinstalled my software thats it. what should i do now?

You didn't mention the make or model of your digital camera; but I don't think any digital camera requires any type of software installed on the memory card.

With that being said, and if I am correct, then you should be able to take the SD card (or what ever type of memory card your camera uses), and plug it into your computer; providing your computer has a card reader.

See if your computer can read your memory card; if so try and cut and paste a simple file onto the card and see if you can save a file onto your memory card. If your computer can read and write files onto your memory card, then a good chance your memory card is good, and there might be something wrong with the camera.

If you can not read the memory card with your computer, then try formating the card (make sure you format it with FAT32). Now try and read and write to your memory card with your computer, if this still fails; then there is a good chance your memory card is no good.

If after formating your card, and the card passes the read and write test, try putting the card back into your camera and see if it works; There might be a chance that the person that serviced your camera "6 times" formated your card incorrectly.

Good luck

My camera doesn`t read memory card.I tried with 2

On most cameras, once you start to use the internal memory, the camera doesn't want to read a memory card. You need to go into the menu and "reset" the camera. Then, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and "format" the internal memory. Then, insert the card and "format" it. This will erase it so download any pics first.

My camera will not read my memory card anymore. It is only using the memory from the camera. How can I get it to read the memory card

Confirm first whether the memory card is still good or bad by using a card reader, put the camera memory card into the card reader then connect it to your system, see whether the system will read your card, if the system doesn't read it, it simply implies that memory card is bad and you need to replace it with a genuine memory card, but if it works it implies that the card slot on the camera is bad. so, your either need to service your camera or you replace the memory card. Thanks

When i turn the camera on....it saids memory card requires formatting. then continues to say formatting will delete everything on memory card. i press continue and nothing happens. goes back to say memory...

Use a computer with memory card reader, and read the card using a computer.

If the computer says the same and does not read the card, then the pictures inside the card are usually lost.

If computer instead does read the card, then transfer all picture on computer using the memory card reader, and format the card using complete formatting.

If you need to use the camera tonight, then buy a spare memory card.
If the camera returns same error on different card, then you may have a faulty memory card slot, but that is quite uncommon.
