What exactly is a TV stick?...... Slingbox?

You mean a SD memory card?
What are you going to display? pictures? videos? streaming TV?

Most current name brand laptops will output to a TV through S-Video, RCA or VGA adapters, but you need to check the specs when purchasing. How much would you like to spend and what other activities would you use it for?

Can the LG Xnote RD405 laptop intially with 1gb RAM be upgraded to 4 gb using two 2gb RAM's ? Please help me by providing an answer clearly, Thanks in Advance.

Here is the memory specifications from LG.

Maximum Size: Each slot is 1024MB and can be expanded to 2048MB.
SO DIMM Type for Memory Expansion: DDR2 SDRAM SO-DIMM (256MB, 512MB, 1024MB)

It can take a maximum of 2 gigabytes of ram. It will take two 1 gb sticks. It uses DDR2 laptop ram. You need to check to see if you have one stick that has 1 gb or 2 sticks that have 512 mb each. That will tell you if you need to buy one or two sticks of ram at 1 gb each. You will be able to tell a difference going from one gb to two gb of ram. I think it would be worth the investment if you plan on using the computer for another year or more.

How do i add a ram memory to my labtop, explain please

It depends on what model of laptop you have. Typicly there is a plastic cover that you remove from the bottom of the laptop to expose your ram dimms (spots to add ram). In some cases both spots will allready have ram in them, in this case you will need to buy higher capacity ram like a 2 or 4 gig stick. I like to order my ram from but if you have no idea what you are doing you can take out the ram and take it to a place like best buy and tell them you need higher capacity ram like "this". They will tell you what kind of ram it is and you can either buy it from them, or go home and get it cheaper online.

Computer freezes during booting

Quite possibly a bad stick of RAM. Is it an older computer? If it's new, and covered under warranty, pursue that with the place of purchase. It's a LOT cheaper to buy a stick of RAM yourself than to get someone to do it for you, so check the bottom of the laptop. There should be a couple of panels that can be unscrewed. The one you're looking for should be roughly 4" by 4 or 5". Open it up, and check the sticks of RAM. Is there one or two? They look like this: Make sure your computer is off when you check/remove/replace RAM sticks.
If there are two RAM sticks, remove one, and then start it. Still freezes? Carefully replace the stick you removed MAKE SURE it is firmly reseated, and remove the other stick and reboot. This should do it. If it is starting normally, take the faulty stick of RAM into a computer repair or product shop, and ask for a stick of DDR2 laptop memory. Make sure it is the same size 1G, 512MB etc as the stick you removed, as RAM usually likes to be the matching amount with its friend. If it has one RAM stick, remove it, take it to a computer shop, and buy the same size stick. It's easy to install yourself. Hope this helped, any further problems, please let me know and I will be happy to help.

Hi there,, can i put one stick of two gig in plus one stick of one gig in,,or has the memory have to be in equal pieces,,,:ie. two twos two ones thanks george dell m90

Its usually a good idea to get equal sticks. Also make sure you know how much ram your motherboard can recognize.
Any other questions feel free to ask.

How to boost your pc memory

It all depends on what you mean by boost. I would recommend just buying better/more ram with a better CAS latency and/or speed then the current RAM you have to the fastest compatible RAM for your system. If you need further assistance please let me know and please confirm the model number of your laptop.
Thank you,

What is the minimum spec I need when buying a laptop to be used mainly for viewing tv

99% of laptops (not netbooks, IE: under 14" screen size) are able to view TV with.
However the obvious thing needed it a TV tuner (either internally in the laptop, an expansion card, or USB tuner)

If your laaptop is under warranty they must repair it for free of cost.
There are some known issues with dv 2000 model laptops.
Visit the below link:
If they charge, it is better to buy a new laptop instead of buying the motherboard for your notebook model.

Acer aspire 7003wsmi

The memory is located under a panel on the bottom of the machine. The chips are very easy to replace. Go to the link bellow, it will tell you the max memory and the frequency that your machine will hold. The frequency is very important, it is the type of memory and will be in either pc or mhz, ie.. pc2700, pc4200, pc 5300 etc.. or 266mhz, 333mhz, etc.. Make sure you buy the right frequency memory or it won't work.

S-Video Output and SD Memory

S-Video would allow you to run your laptop onto a TV, you would have to buy an S-video cable and have a tv or box that is s-video compatible or buy a converter. You would connect the cables to the tv from laptop and Using th <FN> and <F5> toggle between lcd/external/both

SD media card reader just reads SD card you have e.g. camera memory cards, data transfer etc.

Most newer laptops have easy access to their memory slots, I'd recommend you got to the manufacturer's website and look for the maximum memory your system will allow. If you look at the bottom side of your laptop, you may see several small covers with just one or two screws in them. One of them will be where the memory slots are. It is not uncommon for the laptop to have a very small 'memory chip' icon on the cover. Be aware that many laptops only support two memory chips, and may have both filled already. For example, if laptop has 512MB memory, it may have two x 256MB chips in it. Which would mean, that to upgrade to 1GB memory, you would have to purchase two x 512MB chips. or one 1GB chip.
