You have probably solved this issue now. anyway, ive got the same problem and ive stumbled on this here so im gonna post the solution for everyone else:

antenna cover can be removed quite easily by applying some duct tape on it and by slowly but firmly pulling the cover in the direction of the dock port

remove the three screws that are holding the cover in place

now the tricky part: remove the back plate by loosening it from both sides. recommend getting a spudger, most spudgers for electronic devices will do. disconnect the cable that wires the backplate's button with the motherboard. you should now have access to the on and off button. bulge the dentation, maybe dent the button and it should be as good as new.

You can't. sell it or trade in for new one.

Why iphone 4s is stuck on a game and how do i leaave the game?

If pressing the home button on the front of the phone does not quit the app, then try to turn the phone off by holding down the sleep/wake button on the top of the phone until the slider appears.
Then slide the slider to the right. Then hold down the sleep/wake button to turn the phone back on.
If that doesn't work, you can try a hard reset (only if your phone won't restart) by holding down the sleep/wake buttons AND the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds (until the apple logo appears). FYI, under normal conditions, you should periodically restart your phone to help it run smoothly.

Iphone 4s sleep button, speaker, microphone, headset jack are not working

It probably fell onto the headphone jack and something got messed up there. That's a problem that you could maybe fix by taking it apart and reseating the button actuator. If it fell onto the button, it may have pushed the actuator farther into the phone. The button pushes down on another button inside that is part of the actuator module, so may have been pushed around.

Jailbroken iphone gets stuck on apple screen and somnetimes on very lew red battery screen

Try the exit from DFU mode
  1. Step 1 Locate the "Power" button. This button will be at the top right of your iPhone, next to the sim card slot.
  2. Step 2 Locate the "Home" button. This button will be located at the bottom center of your iPhone.
  3. Step 3 Select and hold both the "Power" and the "Home" button.
  4. Step 4 Hold both buttons for five seconds and then release them.
  5. Step 5 The iPhone should automatically shut down and reboot into normal mode. If not, hold both buttons for another 5 seconds.

Iphone wont start after software reset

Try the reboot sequence that you can initiate from the phone buttons. You can find it in the iphone support on the apple site, but I believe you push down the top right button (on/off) and hold it down while you depress and hold down the "home" button (round button-bottom front center). After, I believe< either 15 or 30 seconds it should turn off and then back-on(reboot)....then you can release the buttons.

Iphone wont turn on at all help

Have you tried a hard reset? If this doesn't work, have you tried plugging the phone into iTunes to see if you can do a full restore?

Hard reset:

  1. Press the home button (the big circle below the screen) and the sleep wake button (the button on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
  2. Hold both buttons simultaneously for a few seconds, Ignore the "Slide to power off" and keep holding
  3. The iPhone should now shutdown automatically - (fade to black)
  4. Turn the iPhone back on by hitting the sleep/wake button.
  5. You should now see the Apple logo, your iPhone is restarting and thus booting up.
